The entire description for this video is wrong, which may account for why I couldn't find any information about it. First of all, it's called "Journey to the Edge of the Universe", not "Life in The Universe". Secondly, it was made by the National Geographic Channel, not the Discovery Channel.

I agree, there are definitely lifeforms out there. Some might be intelligent too. However I don't believe there could be people that look like us (humans) because that would mean that they have evolved exactly the same way we have and had the exact same mutations which is unlikely because they're random. A spectacular journey through the universe. I'll probably watch this again coz I've missed some parts from falling asleep.
I always have this fantasy that we are actually the first civilization in out entire universe. Imagine that, we homo sapiens, completely alone in the universe. Why? Because the universe is still young, and intelligent life for the first time flourished on earth. We have come so far, done some bad things but some good things at the same time. I imagine advanced species a trillion years form now locking back and saying "Humanity, father of us all. they knew the universe, when it was till young". They will look at our ruins, they will try to imagine how it was for us to discover all the truth for the first time. They will study us in their history books how our species expanded all through the galaxy with technology and philosophy. And then, we just disappeared. I'm a very positive guy. People might say that we are a bunch of savages that destroy themselves and nature. But I have hope that one day, a day in which my grandchildren are going to have great grandchildren, humanity is going to finally understand the meaning of peace and reason. We are going to understand that the true meaning of the universe is love and mutual help. We are going to expand our technology, not for weapons, not for luxury, but for progression. Many species came before us - othes are here now - and many will come in the future.
If any of them would ever remember us, that would probably only matter to us, the universe, with whatever lifeform in it, will be just fine without us, or any knowledge of our existence.
I believe that the best thing we as humans can do for the future generation/s, is to be good to one self, to each other, the animals and to take care of this planet. Our achievements or our deep love for ourselves, would be useless to them, if they don't have a save planet to live on..

After l watched this brilliant journey , I came to desicion that the universe is alive , just like us ... it evolves ( by expanding continiously ) then produce stars, planets and other galaxies , and dies inside slowly ...Just like us , maybe this is the biggest part of the game that we play in this mysterical universe .. The ultimate question that l wonder , is the first cause , first explosion , The big bang ... Well, I wouldn't say that the universe is alive, but, just like all matter in the universe, it changes. And when something changes, it can either sustain its structure, or not. If it doesn't, you won't be seeing it again, if it does, it will keep on changing an adapting into a construction that is even more sustanable, which life on Earth is a very good example of, it replicates itself and expands.
I think that all matter in the universe evolves. And that at the end, all of that matter will be converted into one big 'organism' that will keep on existing in eternity.

I believe life on other planets. Considering our own galaxy has 100 Billion stars, and there is at least 1 planet for every star. Yet there are an estimated over 200 billion galaxies. So roughly 2,000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 planets out there.. How many harbor life? I don't however believe aliens have visited us, at least in the last 4,000+ years.
