If you do manage to split off and isolate that enemy division, it does scream night time destroyer charge, to finish them off. It is amazing how often the tactics of a battle seem obvious to us, I do wonder how an Admiral from this time period, or, someone not so well versed in battle tactics, would fight out this scenario . Do we have a Godmode like advantage ?
I think it's all about situational awareness (as we call it now). The better the picture, the easier the decisions. Jellicoe at Jutland had very little to go on because of the British phobia for breaking radio silence and the murky weather, but he managed to make better, clearer decisions than Scheer, who blundered in having his T-crossed, twice, and was lucky not to bump into the Grand Fleet during the night. I think RtW2 does a pretty good job at some limited intelligence, but ultimately, we probably know too much, too clearly, for too long.
Thanks for Sharing......check out Ultimate Admiral......It will have a campaign game very similar hopefully out this summer. The beta (non-campaign) is now out. Cheers
I was an early enthusiastic adopter of Ultimate Admiral Dreadnought in 2019 but was soon disappointed with it. I found it mainly chrome, building daft fancy warships and having bang-bang-bang battles. Beautiful, but dull, for me. Then, having excited expectations and taken money it seems that they had to keep on adding to this when what was really needed was a wider context into which you can slot your designs. I'll have a look at the campaign. I hope it is something more than build your ship and fight several battles with it.

Hi, I'm enjoying this series, and, very unusually for me, I've hit the notification bell. Keep up the good work, thanks!
Thanks Patrick. I'll edit out the errrs and mumms out of the end of the battle (which gets a lot better) when km back from old style gaming 😊
I hope you are having a grand time, Sir.
Real face-to-face gaming, chatting, laughing, for four days. It was wonderful.
Kick some butt and have fun ! Heck...might go 6 days
My Stonewall Jackson may have out manoeuvred Pope at the 2nd Bull Run
6:31 Yeah the AI can be rather craven at times, or absolutely relentless in pursuing you.
Yes. You never quite know which one will turn up.
11:40 Intelligence reports the French Secretary of the Navy has been removed from his post for misappropriation of funds.
Ha Ha! I'll throw myself on the court of public opinion! See if they like the taste of victory (coming soon)
Sounds like a great weekend. You should stream it! hahaha Just kidding; have a great time.
Lee is happily advancing towards a 2nd Bull Run so far. Though with more beer drunk than possibly in the original.
