never meh
I agree! Never meh! And have already subscribed and told other chateau vlog lovers to do the same! Love you wit and the fact that you’re in la Bretagne! Vous êtes courageux mais quel beau coin the la France en dépit des intempéries!
Thanks for a blog filled with fresh spring flowers and greenery. Your rhododendrons are R. ponticum, a sure sign of a great estate in England. Looking forward to more kitty action soon.
Another chateau vlogger just had an unexpected litter of puppies and I got BEAT UP for saying that the dog should have been spayed
@@corricatt Sorry to hear that! If one owns a pet (and certainly has the means) they should be a responsible owner and spay...
'..we're two indentured servants....' and '...haunted house vibe...' I love the humour! 😂
Wait! I wonder if there are ghosts? Or any strange activity.
@@davidmata5080I often wonder about that too. Oooooooh 👻
@@davidmata5080 😅
Love the humor as well my favorite couple and channel!!
I love it too!!
Your vlogs are never 'meh'. I love your property and anytime I get to see it I get a small dose of zen from my apartment life. From the music you choose, to your aerial shots, and the footage of your sweet dogs, donkeys and cats, not to mention your wonderful senses of humor, I can breathe easy if for just a moment. Thank you Amanda and Lincoln for choosing to film a portion of your lives to share with us.
Yes I love it too
I love how you do the videos in a simple and artistic way that enhances the whole experience of what we see and hear. The music is mesmerizing and I can even catch the aroma of the earth, flowers and even coffee.
Thank you :)
Amanda and Lincoln, I've been watching your channel for about 6 months now; I am amazed at how much the two you have accomplished together. The outdoor dining area is lovely and peaceful - out of a magazine!
What an inspiring vlog! Prepping your areas for relaxing, dining and recovery (from all that heavy duty work) is really cool to watch. I especially appreciate how you edge and define the spaces with so much care. You deserve only sunny days from now on after all the rainy days where you just continue working despite the nasty weather. I like the new furniture . Your taste is simply spot-on (imo).
Thanks :)
I love your style. What a gorgeous home and property you have! Thanks for sharing some humour while you continue to move forward in making everything look even better. It's always a treat to watch your videos.
I truly enjoyed the tour of your outdoor spaces. Your garden filled with the plants you didn’t quite know what to do with is welcoming and sweet! I loved the way the camera caught the wind as it moved the ivy on the barn. Thanks so much for this transportative experience.
What a beautiful property. So lush and vibrant. It has beautiful birdsong and bee's buzzing. It's a really magical place. 🌳🐝🐦🌻🏰❤
Your property is so picturesque, the stone walls and the old buildings. It is such hard work to keep it up ,and your doing a fantastic job!
Your episodes are rarely “meh”, if ever. Still my favorite people and vlog to watch!❤
P.S. I love half-assed gardens!! 😊
Love everything that the two of you very hard working people have done with this beautiful chateau and property. What a lovely life style.
Simply beautiful!!! The landscape and skies of Brittany are just exquisite!!! They are noticeably different from other landscapes....I dream of living there!!
That was an enjoyable video. Unearthing the cobblestone would have been such a treat. ❤❤❤
You have to wonder how many years of built-up debris was there to allow the grass to grow so thickly!
@@AtlantaGarden Actually, not that long! The grass grows like weeds here..
My mostest, favoritist chateau vlog! And funniest.
Your videos are like balm for the soul. You don’t only create videos, you create beauty, or rescue it as needed. I feel so relaxed and inspired after watching this. I think I’ll go out and weed my own humble garden. (and pet my own pampered rescue cat) Thank you for the inspiration! Beautiful.❤
Every part of this video was exquisite and fun to watch. I’d be in 7th heaven roaming around looking at all the trees and foliages and those skylights-oh my gosh. You’ve done great work in bringing this landscape back to life. Thank you for letting us watch! 👏👏👏
Amanda you’re a very talented woman; of course Lincoln is as well! I find watching your channel soothing, peaceful even. Thanks for sharing with us.🦗🐞🦋
I will say it once and I’ll say it again. I love your esthetics. You guys have a great sense of style.
I love your videos. I just wish they were at least 30 minutes.😊 I know you are busy, but you have a lot going on there so I know you have endless content lol❤
We'll try and do some longer ones. Worry people will get bored!
Never!!! we love you guys❣️ we love to see the progress of your projects that’s why we tune in!
I am always so happy after I watch your video's Thank you for sharing your life with us - I know it must be a royal pain at times - but some of us get a great amount of joy, listening to the bees and the birds, watching the kitties and heckling the furniture placement. You guys ROCK
LOVE your home, kitties, dog buddies, donkeys but especially your docor & your beautiful garden & rest / cooking areas. Lovely!!!!!!
Your greenspaces you've created are so beautiful! Gives your home an inviting cozy space! Love it ❤
I love the vibe you have created in these outdoor rooms with a mix of modern and classic elements! Also, that you have uncovered the historical paving and used it to advantage. Bravo!
This might be my new favorite video you have made. The beauty you captured was so relaxing to watch [compared to the sympathy pains I often have watching you work so hard!]
I very much like your new furniture and the way it contrasts with the chateau. On the other chateau channels, all they buy are antiques, and their homes are looking like museums. Maybe it's the American in me, but I love your aesthetics. Thanks for sharing your world with us ❤
The Drone shots were Magnificent the property from above look spectacular the colors and Terrain are Majestic thank you so much ....Amanda we want to see you cooking you are a chef after all😊
Love your sense of humor, your love for animals and each other. Blessings
FUNNY HOW LIGHT IT IS STAYING IN THE EVENING- USUALLY NOT TIL JULY--SOMETHING IS AFOOT. LOVE THE OUTDOOR ROOM YOU CREATED.
Love all the green spaces, everything is looking so lush! 🌿🌺
“Half ass garden”. Classic. And yes we have one as well. 🇨🇦
I never felt the fabrics of my mother's living room furniture nor have I ever seen lamp shades without plastic coverings. When I moved out of my parents home, I swore I would never have one piece of plastic anywhere in my home. One day my brother visited and took his shoes off when putting his feet on my Eames foot stool, I told him it wasn't necessary to remove his shoes. I guess he was just used to that because his wife covered everything in plastic including covering the tablecloth during holidays dinners. Ugh. Jane, Philadelphia
It is a pleasure to see you making progress on the renovation of this heritage. The sunny days are coming back, even if relatively in the Côtes d'Armor, it is time to enjoy the sweetness of life of the French countryside, the air of the garden, a glass of wine and the lightness of a melody by Georges Brassens.
I've just spent 4hrs trying to get home ,traffic nightmares and I'm decompressing with a coffee and your brilliant video....ahhhhhhh and relax
You had me at Tarragon. What a beautiful and lush landscape you have!
Outdoor spaces look beautiful!!! Great job!
I am still laughing over your half ass garden. I have tears rolling down my face. Amanda u are so funny. I look forward to your video I learn something new and I get a good chuckle u both are great . Have a good week. ❤😂
Many things in my life are half-assed so I can relate. As a recovering perfectionist and retired teacher I like to refer to half-assed projects as close enough for government work!😊
I could watch your videos for hours. They are always so beautiful. A feast for the eyes and soothing for the ears. Love your humor and thank you for sharing a glimpse of your life with us. xx

You’re so witty and I love that about your channel.
As always, thank you for the tour around your 40 acres of beautiful nature with a touch of your sarcastic witty humor 🫶❣️
“Half-ass Garden” - sold. I subscribed! Keep me entertained with your professional sarcasm! Thank you for sharing your failures…and then success! Who wants perfect and fake?
Welcome!
A thought about the cats: perhaps you could get a local vet to volunteer to do a cat spay and neuter clinic at your place once a month or a quarter and you could advertise it locally so people will start spaying cats and easing your burden. You could combine it with a little musical event / fundraiser in nice weather to help provide more cat trapping funds and a little presentation on how to become a cat trapper yourself for surrounding neighbors.
Thank you! Great video! Take care!
Someone wrote that watching your videos are their moment of Zen. I second that comment. Love the music, the scenery etc. Very relaxing and I feel transported to the beautiful French countryside. Love the animals (I am a huge feline fan). I am also from the Bay Area in California and plan on moving to France this winter. I am SO looking forward to it. Thank you for doing these videos. Peace.
당신의 영상 최고입니다 감동으로 잘 감상했습니다.❤❤❤
A short but sweet episode. I too am an indentured servant to a garden, but unfortunately I have no one on two, three, or four legs with which to enjoy the beautiful drudgery with. I too have a habit of installing a half assed garden, usually when I've bought to much at one time, or when I must rescue each and every seedling ( that I don't need) that came up from the packet of seed that I spilled. Instead of rescuing feral cats, I understood today that I need to rehome the four adorable (but hungry ) bunnies I saw mocking me from a juniper hedge in a raised masonry planter. Isn't servitude fun?
Amanda the drone shots were fabulous. Everything looks just so lush and beautiful. All will come together in due time, but I must say the two of you have accomplish so much already! Love the videos as always. Happy weekend from the middle of the USA!
Amanda did a fine job of giving the trees ample clearance with the drone! 😆 Beautiful countryside, and the rhodos are spectacular! 🐝🐝🐝
All the times you guys have to deal with rain! You've done so much - so wonderful so watch your progress, and such a beautiful property. Thank you for sharing with your community - we are all rooting for you!
I enjoyed seeing some new areas of the grounds, like the rhodendrens. We could hear the bees 🐝 🎶! Love your new dining and sitting areas.
Those rhododendrons are beautiful. The monkey pottery is amazing.! The bees are really important. The brambles need a new home..
Hahaha! Yes, I too have a half assed garden! I used to call it my leftover garden but now it has a new name! Thanks!
You have a beautiful property! It's wonderful to have all that space. All the yard work involved...it's a lot. But it's very rewarding once you get it all the way you want. Lovely outdoor spaces you've created!
It seems you two have a shared sense of humour & a shared vision of what you want for your life & property. I suspect there may be good food & wine to enjoy at your table(s) 😋 I always look forward to your posts, thanks for sharing!!
Of your property is beautiful and the rhododendrons are magnificent!😊
Amanda and Lincoln, those are lovely outdoor spaces you created. Too funny about the gnome living in your rhododendron bush. Thank you for rescuing those cats.❤
You are my favourite Chateau channel and thanks for the humour and for taking care of the animals, unlike a couple of other chateau owners I can think of...
Love yr videos I've been watching for a while now and love yr sense of humour you've both come so far with all the work you done and our doing and most of all what you do for the cat's.keep making yr videos I really enjoy them
Bravo!❤ Beautiful video! LOVED the shot of Pancake on the furry white pillow! Your property is amazing.
Love the peace and quiet with the occasional jester on a lawn mower but really gorgeous countryside Chateau you guys have there buzzing with spring summer colors and the charming pets. Thanks for Sharing...
Thank you for taking us along on another episode of your journey. I enjoy watching the progress made each week. I also enjoy the animal updates and the humor.
The half a$$ garden looks great. All the spaces that you have created outside look fabulous and FYI, the way you rearrange the front sofa looks way better love all the pots and plants that you put in the front.. Amanda, you forgot to show us the donkeys. Please add them in the next video anyways the drone footage was fabulous. The property is just beautiful.
The back entrance to the wall garden, all along that wall from the gate over would be so pretty to put wildflowers. ❤
You never disappoint in your videos. Very relaxing for me, buy lots of work for you. 😊
Once upon a time I owned 5 acres in Columbia Co, NY. Apples galore! We even had bees! - got one crop of honey which I distributed to all our friends before we moved to Florida.
I especially love that dining area with what you call the "half-assed garden". That beautiful stone just sets off all the plants there so beautifully. I especially like that fern. Pretty much any healthy plant will look good against that stone, and that little garden area looks so inviting with the table.
Looks very much like Rhododendron ponticum (starts to flower mid to end of May, for about 3-4-5 weeks, loving warm humidity). If so it's probably self seeded. We have it all over here in Ireland, also in England, Wales and Scotland, considered as invasive, when too much also a threat to native wild life (hardly anything grows underneath those thick, tall canopies). - Beautiful drone shots, even if difficult to fly.
Another wonderful video. I don’t know how any garden could be half-assed with those beautiful stone walls! 🤣
You have done so much and I am sure it can be overwhelming at times. Things are looking so good and love to see all of your amazing progress. Great jobs with clearing the outside spaces!! Well done and I am sure the maintenance of all of these areas that are done will be a lot easier to care for. Looking good!! Great drone shots Thank you!
I love where you sat up the outdoor table. Love the entire setup and I have several half-ass gardens.
It's starting to come together and is looking nice.
The thin chives you couldn't remember what they were, they are garlic chives. So if you have fresh heirloom tomatoes, slice them, add finely chopped garlic chives, a drizzle of excellent olive oil, and some fleur de sel. This meal is perfection. For breakfast you can add some scrambled eggs (try ina gartens recipe). For lunch pair it with a crusty boule and some prosciutto.
No, it's a medicinal plant with a white flower. I'll figure out the name
@OurFrenchChateau Just of note garlic chives have white flowers before the black seeds emerge. Could be something else though.
You really have the most beautiful piece of property but sometimes when the weather is dark and stormy I think of the novel Jane Eyre for some reason-even though you’re in the French countryside. I love all of your garden spaces. ❤️❤️
The furniture was very nice. It’s so nice to be able to get outside in warmer weather.
The gardens are looking beautiful
This is off topic for this video, but I don't know if you've ever watched Life of Ryan, but he's renovating a house in the north of France. Which means replacing beams. Rather than having to cut a hole to slide it through, they clean out the deep hole and then you push the beam in as far as you can. Then it slides into the other hole as well. So rather than having 18 in of beam in each hole, you might still end up with 10 in in each hole which is more than enough to hold up the upper floor. Have you thought of looking into replacing your beams that way? It would certainly be a lot less work.
Just love the quircky humor rofl 😊❤😊❤
Looking great, you need to pat yourselves on the back, the gardens are almost looking immaculately groomed. You have done a great job in four years. You can see how much progress there has been and its looking wonderful, you can sit back in the garden areas and enjoy your coffee in the morning, lunch, afternoon breaks and evenings with a glass or two.
Love the half-ass garden 😂
I would love to see you cook sometime on your channel. Love the cat rescue too! 😊
I love how you always show aerial views of your land and château
Pancake lying on the fur blanket with the sun shining on her is such a beautiful image. Soft and warm. The drone footage is great. Such a treat to see the chateau and landscape from above! Your eating and sitting areas look wonderful (unfortunately one always has to take the cushions down due to bird droppings)!
The copper beach trees and the rhododendrons are spectacular! The patio area you moved the table to looks like something from a magazine. The couch area looks good too, but I think it could benefit from a small hedge of boxwood or long planters to define the space. A couple topiary standards in the two corners would look nice.
Oh fancy , fancy. No matter what you do, it always looks so posh. You have a very ingrained since of style that just oozes.
Love your sense of humor, comments and style!
I do love love your sense of style. Dare I say a bit controlling of greenery??? Maybe. How about a wildflower meadow a la Highgrove? With a mown walkway. The rhododendron set against the copper beech is stunning. Like the new wall creeper. Got to be such a bold plants person with such space. Great vlog.
Loved seeing the before & afters, what a gorgeous property. How cool to have the drone footage. 😊
Love this video you and Lincoln have worked so hard give yourselves credit one thing is when you tackle a project it’s amazing what you find to me that’s worth it I think your kitties you rescue must send a message to the homeless ones to come on over you will be cared for just a little humour love your home and your videos from canada
Love your humor and comments!
Your garden areas all look beautiful! The drone footage is fabulous! I so enjoy your channel and love the music that you chooseN
When I was a child we had huge islands of rhododendrons growing on our land. As kids, we found our way inside, where it was like a mini cathedral with interconnecting rooms. Just fabulous.
I remember sitting in my grandparents' living room couch 🛋 in shorts. The back of legs would stick to the plastic ! Yeow 😅😂
What a great surprise for a Friday!
Hahaha! Indentured servants.
Great use of the outdoor spaces and the new outdoor furniture. Love the finials on the herb garden borders. Fancy.
The giant rhododendron bush has such beautiful flowers but it's enormous. What a chore it must to keep it all in check.
Yay! A Pancake appearance.
Thanks for a beautiful video.
The outside areas are looking great! 😊
The new table looks fab. Love the contrast of the black with the stone and concrete.
I love little pancake she’s so damn cute.
Your grounds are spectacular, you guys have done wonders since taking ownership! Love your videos Amanda
Beautiful photography, beautiful area of the world. I admire you both for how dedicated you are and what you accomplish together. I would be overwhelmed!
Your drap side door area would look great with one of those reclaimed stone wall carvings from a brocade. That would pep it up even in the winter.
You need some sheep to eat your grass.
I was thinking sheep or goats!
