Like 34 I will be going for this surgery in 2021 I'm only 43 years old and terrified to get it done
can you update us on your surgery, thanks, I hope all works out for you!
Hope it works out 💪🏼
How did it go? Any update?
I had the surgery done in May 2018 at age 60. It was the best thing for me. I still take the medication but it has helped me get my mobility back. I am tremor free.
@@peterwillhite4739 amazing!!
I just want to give him a great big manly bearhug and congratulate him for the success of this modern miracle.
Looks like STN DBS. Do you still take any medication? Did you manage to stop meds completely after surgery? What meds, and how many doses a day were you taking before DBS?
Is Michael J. Fox aware of this medical technology? ☝️😮
His done of that DBS but probably it didn’t work well for him tho! Every persons has a unique to surface the response of the treatments specifically a major procedure like DBS but unfortunately it’s not 100 percent guaranteed outcome for every patients facts!
I'm only 27 and I might need to get this. Pretty much everything else hasn't worked.
It seems worth it. Theyre looking at using it for eating disorders too.
How are you
@@k-drama_kpop_fan a little better. Doctors have not recommended dbs to me even after I asked about it so that is something I have not done.
amazing
Got mine day after my 28th bday....33 now had a battery change December 22 an nothing but issues since the batt change!
A good question would be How Are You Feeling Emotionally Right Now - I'm overjoyed for him and others!! I wonder if this helps with CPTSD bc I'm so exhausted from my brain and feel like at 50 it's negatively affecting my memory worse than ever and won't be reversible 😭
I’m 73 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016. But I believe I’ve had it since 2010. I started to develop tremors in my hand. I’m a Vietnam veteran was exposed to Agent Orange. I don’t think I’m ready for DBS yet, but my disease is rapidly advancing. Becoming more and more stiff every day and have a hard time walking my Sinemet does not seem to be working very good anymore. I’m extremely depressed and have a lot of anxiety. What a debilitating disease. I just don’t know what to do.😢
Oh please find a way to get DBS if you can I bet depression and all of that can be stemming from your ability to do less than usual
Yes, it is. I’ve lost interest in all my hobbies. And I have some great ones. I’ve had all my life. I have pamphlet on DBS in my neurologist said that it’s not for everybody so I guess it’s a real crapshoot.
@@lorenzomaximo1818yeah based of my research DBS is not for everyone in fact there’s a highly risk of stroke after the procedure have had done! Think about it first before have it done these major procedures are irreversible when the body haven’t responded well!
Thanks I agree. I don’t intend to get TBS as I’ve decided it is too risky. I’m met a guy in the grocery store. and he had D.B.S. he didn’t care for it was giving him a lot of problems. So I’m writing that technique off. I don’t know what to do next.
Hey I wanna know how much does it cost ?
This is awesome!!! Man, the power of science

So we basically are robots.
If a person has have done this kind of procedure if it works amazing well it’s fortunate but unfortunately not every patients have had done would get a positive results however a person has a pacemaker technologist in his/her body would controlled by the tech robot for the rest of their lives facts
