Tokido isn't an Akuma player. He plays the best character and Ken is the better shoto
Tokido was always a meta abuser. he was never an Akuma player.
He already stated that he isn't going to play him for multiple reasons

Tokido is just gross. Always spamming those disgusting Jin Rai kicks. Always using the top character in the game, no matter how idiots keep downplaying overpowered Ken.
he also sucks at Ken tbh. his combo routes, Punishes, optimisation are a pain to watch. he only abuse 20% of ken's arsenal.
@@Mitsu852 this is facts, but I believe part of that is Tokido flexing on people for sure. The level he is at now it's mostly mind games when he plays.

@@Mitsu852could you elaborate? I’m fairly certain he loses out on some damage when he does run cancel combos because he goes for a 2LP then target combo instead of just going straight into the tc but that’s the only thing I noticed
@@futer1987 his corner combos are very random. Most of the time one should do light jinrai loops if start with Lp or heavy jinrai loops if Hp then shoryuuken. He litteraly does LP light tatsu into M shoryuu. He does regular combos when he gets punish counters which is a huge loss of damage and corner carry. His CA confirms are random sometimes he just cancels Lp into shoryuu into CA when he can go for full burnout to maximze his damage and get a kill. He resets to neutral way too much and doesn't go for kills. Which costs him a lot of rounds. He also doesn't abuse plus frames and doesn't exploit the jinrai mixups to go for walk grabs or back dashes to bait a reaction. He abuses DR grab and DR lp way too much until he gets punished hard when his opponents catch on. His hadoken pressure is inexistant. What i wrote above isn't solely on what is in this video but of hours of what i watched of Tokido playing ken and comparing him to some big names like Ryukichi and Angrybird. Who are currently 2 worldwide top Ken's. He is still a good player fundamuntaly. But he isn't pushing ken to his full potential. Good player but very average Ken.
