One thing worth mentioning is that Wopster's GPS breaks the passenger function that came with the Kubota DLC, so machinery that you install the gps in will lose the ability to have passengers.
Hey bos. Nice video in showing the GPS options for FS22. The reason I prefer Guidance Steering is the combination with ProSeed. For example when I am seeding or planting a big field I always make a GPS set per field for that. That gives me the option to stop FS any moment and reload it and still have the same lanes for creating tramlines. Otherwise you have be careful when you restart the seeding/planting when setting up the tramlines. And like you said, when you work a lot of the same fields it is very nice you can just reload the track you already made. And I would like to see a tutorial on Headland Management. I know there are some but it could use some more exposure because it has some great options 🙂.
the saved course is the one bit I dislike about enhanced vehicle. VCA saves the last course, so if you're mid job you can carry on when you reload. I didn't some testing with headland management and the new features but need more... I have one that covers an older version already
Some updated deep dive tutorials on these would be great! I’ve been intimidated by much outside of GPS. Been trying to work out contour mode on headland management but not understanding that much as well.
Great video, I used GPS back in FS19 until I found VCA, and never looked back. Because I also play using the keyboard for steering etc. the advantage VCA has for me this the smoother steering, As I also play with realistic mud etc, the 4WD features are useful. ,As you say, VCA is so easy to use. I highly recommend it as well.
Issues I've found in GPS, is that if a mod is not defined correctly, the GPS cannot retrieve working width. This is usually a problem with early release mods, or those not on the modhub.
0:02:33 With reference to what Kaleb said on Clakson's Farm, Yes they DO charge extra for GPS and it is about £15,000! But unfortunately it'ss likely to get stolen within 3 months.... What I don't understand is if its a GPS device thenj surely it can be located one knows how
I'm not sure the external bit that gets stolen has any electronically identifiable signature, and it probably ends up in another country and reprogrammed anyway. A bit like when a mobile phone gets stolen
Used to use GS but now use VCA. Headland management was a good mod to run along side but stopped using it a while ago. Think its just had an update, so maybe worth a look again.
I was looking at the extreme end, when the tractor is £800,000 they don't seem to charge extra except the license.. but I only had a quick look so could be wrong.
Would love tutorial please, the more i use guidance steering the more the way it turns bugs me! Cant totally get rid of it though as need it for proseed. Loving enhanced vehicle though, need to give it a whirl! Will you make me a button box? 😁
I dropped a screenshot into discord showing my Guidance Steering mod. It's always been in metres for me. I'm guessing it's picking up on a global setting somewhere in game.
0:56 I enjoy vehicle control addon. I am not a fan of GPS. Never tried enhance vehicle control add on. Great video!
Yeah I think vca is still my favourite
The enhanced one is the one where the display looks most like real life. Loads of options. Great video :)
I have never really looked to see what the real life ones show. I think the only example I've seen is on Olly's sprayer
@@DisTurbedSimulations it would be extremely confusing for a first time driver. Many things to adjust on those big screens
Yes I'm sure it's one of those things you have to learn to use with a fair bit of help
@@DisTurbedSimulations definitely. From more experienced colleagues
I prefer the look and thinking behind Guidance Steering, but the simplicity of Vehicle Control Addon. So I use VCA.

I didn't know that

noted :) I had a play with contour mode too, didn't manage to get my head around it enough to be able to do a tutorial yet

sounds like we have a similar experience. The 4wd and diff locks really helps if you're using older kit or not quite enough power too.
My absolute favourite mod. I always use Guidance Steering. I did changed the price to 1€ and increased the sounds volume.
I think when I was using it a lot I dropped the price, not quite that much but a bit less
How can I drop the price?
@@andreschan5601 in the xml 😉
How’d you increase the sound volume? I tried different sound files and it still sounds different in first person.
Great video DS. I have never used any of them, but I think I am going to try VCA out now.
Thanks, VCA is a good one to start with.
Issues I've found in GPS, is that if a mod is not defined correctly, the GPS cannot retrieve working width. This is usually a problem with early release mods, or those not on the modhub.
I think that's usually if they haven't set up the AI worker bit properly, doesn't seem to be an issue that often if you stick to good quality mods :)
Great video. Thanks

Great video D/S if I am using one I grab vca but I always forget about it but great to show the different guidance steering mods 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
With all those mods you have how can you not have one of these active ;)
@DisTurbedSimulations yes it works ok 👍👍
Used to use GS but now use VCA. Headland management was a good mod to run along side but stopped using it a while ago. Think its just had an update, so maybe worth a look again.
Headland management has had a nice update, it will auto drive the headlands for you too if you want
Meters and feet used to change dependant on your mail game settings. Metric or imperial.
Yeah, but I don't want to drive in km just for guidance steering
New tractors do charge for Auto steer. Not all tractors have it installed as standard
I guess it depends on the manufacturer and model? Looks like some the extra cost is for the licensing for things rather than the hardware
@@DisTurbedSimulations not necessarily. Think all actually charge as an additional extra. And then there is a subscription for the service aswell
I was looking at the extreme end, when the tractor is £800,000 they don't seem to charge extra except the license.. but I only had a quick look so could be wrong.
I have all three installed. I just use Guidance steering and VCA for gps though.
Be careful of conflicts between VCA and EC.
@@DisTurbedSimulations Knock on wood, I don't think I have seen any. the only thing I use EV for is the differential lock.
What, when i exit from the combine and GPS is on? Combine will stop?
Yes the combine will still stop with GPS on. you need to use a worker or courseplay if you want to keep vehicles running without being in them
Would love tutorial please, the more i use guidance steering the more the way it turns bugs me! Cant totally get rid of it though as need it for proseed. Loving enhanced vehicle though, need to give it a whirl! Will you make me a button box? 😁
You can use proseed with the other two, you just need to be switched on... and for a reasonable fee that could be arranged.
@@DisTurbedSimulations and that is where I would fail being switched on 😂 my people will call your people!
What’s the info above the tachometer and where does a person get it?
That depends on which bit of the video you are referring to and which hud feature as the 3 different mods add different hud features
are you going to do a full VCA tutorial at all mate. As i like the way you explain yourself and the mods so nice and simple for us oldies.👴
Yup, it'll be in two parts first the gps bit then the additional features.
I dropped a screenshot into discord showing my Guidance Steering mod. It's always been in metres for me. I'm guessing it's picking up on a global setting somewhere in game.
It's based on if you run in mph or kph I think
@@DisTurbedSimulations that explains it then. In my corner of the world we run in kph
After watching this think i need to switch to VCA instead of GPS.haha
Smart choice :)
gps can be expensive, ranges from 2k to 10k+
I would love a GPS that gets us to different places on the map. I get so lost sometimes.
Autodrive and a route from autodrive guy will do that for you
@@DisTurbedSimulations Thanks for all the great videos and information. It is genuinely appreciated.
I recomend using Courseplay
Courseplay is not a gps mod.
@@DisTurbedSimulations ok but still good mod
Yes, I have a lot of videos on courseplay
no I like using enchanted Vehicles better 😂
powered by fairy dust and unicorn farts?
I use them all 😂
all the gpses
