As a person who grew up in the 90's and was totally into The grunge scene/style, the grunge hair explanation is way over thought. It wasn't a specific cut. It was usually just shaggy length from growing the hair out from a short cut. The back of the hair was usually long like the front and sides, unless the back was cut super short and grew out that way. I get he is trying to explain how to get a grunge look now, but really all you have to do is grow your hair out.
Wow an undercut 'Emo hair' is a totally interesting and different take! I gonna change up my 'Curtains' into this style, thanks! I really like how this style doesn't have a definite parting, to create this sweeping fringe.
@FearInjustice No bs. The fact that the subcultures fashion and hair is making a comeback in the "rawring 20s" itself tells you it's cool again. Some fashions and subcultures don't dead and irrelevant forever y'know.
Please make a video on ‘how to create wavy hair with a curling wand’. Using the mannequin head used in the ‘How to make straight hair wavy’ video you made as a reference. Love the videos, you’ve helped me out a lot ❤️
I'm wanting a style kind of in-between both of these styles. I'm wanting long face covering bangs more than anything. Unfortunately I have wavy and slightly curly hair so I'm not sure how much luck I'll have but I'm going to try it.
I still do the emo grungy look even without bone straight hair. I like the wavy swooshy look. So I'd say you can still go for it. Wavy slightly curl emo hair actually looks kinda cool to me tbh.
I also have wavy/slightly curly hair and tried the emo haircut for years but it just didn't fit for me, I always ended up with a mess in my forehead and had to cut it over and over again. Then I tried the grunge haircut and it works wonderfully with my hair's natural texture since the strands start straight in the roots and end with pretty curls. I would say the emo haircut works best for straight hair while the grunge haircut would be more suitable for wavy hair, but that's just my opinion.
First time round I just grew my hair out aged 16 in 1991, put a bit of blonde in it and I ended up looking a lot like Whitfield Crane. I’m now starting my hair growth journey once more aged 49 .. wish me luck! 😂
@@mireillenadeau2348 it might if they don't shower but I do prefer grounge than emo because it looks badass like a rocker, Kurt Cobain had it like that emo is like more dark sensitive hairstyle
Emo always died down then made a sudden comeback and repeat. A lot of subcultures are seemingly dead then make comebacks like this. So I don't think emo will stay dead, you even have popular tours like Emo Nite & When We Were Young tour around. Now it's the rawring 20s. Look it up.
@@bigfoot882 It's like a fusion of emo, goth, korean street wear, grunge, etc. Look them up, Most I've seen are usually kinda poserish no offense because it's kinda more of a fashion statement than a subculture with beliefs like emo, goth, punk, etc.
Emo has always made a decline and came back in different waves, you do realize some subcultures, music, & fashion scenes don't stay dead right? I mean MGK even has a song called "emo girl" 🤣

Yup, everyone’s hair is gonna be different though. I think surfer curtains might be related to this.
Both look really nice. I can see why grunge is more preferred. It’s that natural very laid back vibe to it.
Grunge hair is pretty cool
To me, it will ALWAYS be cool :)

Im looking for grunge hair but I don’t want the hair on the back of my neck what should i say
Prefer grunge 100 more than sensitive emo
One could argue that grunge looks dirty

i have that long hair with the middle part but always get called emo
Tbh ngl if I saw you, & had dyed hair especially parted dyed hair with piercings and tats, I'd probably would assume you're more of an eboy than Emo.
@@XxFinalFlashXx1 I have none of those, I just grew my hair out because I have a big ass head and I look goofy af when it's short.

One thing different about America n india school is that
..they always told us to cut our hair during high school... Almost like the marines haircut
How could we ask questions about how to achieve a certain hairstyle?
Great video as always but I am loving the grunge look
GRUNGE !!!
I'm really glad I found your channel ❤ I love wearing the emo style haha
Did this grunge hairstyle good for square face type?
So thats why people call me grunge 💀

I thought all the emos killed themselves in 2013?
💀
Well no, they just lost popularity cus there were new styles in 2013
Forget 2000s emo. Embrace mid 80s/90s emotional hardcore
come on bro...
