Icona Pop is forever offended that no one remembers their song lmao. This song released in 2013 and was and still is a jam to this day with a remake.
Many knows the song but not the artist😂

I'm really surprised NO ONE put together the fact that IVE is about to go on a world tour. This song just seems built just for that, like they just wanted an uptempo kind of song to hype the crowd. Don't think it is meant to be an actual charting single per se, just an all english cover with a club beat.
I mean I could totally see this being one of those songs during the tour set that they drop to get everyone jumping, maybe halfway thru the set to get that energy flowing again...beat drops, confetti falls...everyone screams and jumps....something like that. Watching peeps in various comment sections get all bothered about it has been hilarious - it AIN'T THAT SERIOUS people...
I felt it was a weird choice they accepted this song, it won’t do anything for them since this sound isn’t trending anymore in the western market
Its a fun little cover song that would be a fun b-side track....but to choose this as their debut English single is like the weirdest choice ever. Idk what Starship were thinking with this one....ntm they had absolutely zero promo to hype up the release. Idk its all just odd tbh when everything Ive has put out so far has been fairly cohesive with a clear vision.

Once I discovered Kpop I kinda switched over cause they cover multiple genres spanning from 80's synth, Y2K, Influences from western rappers, and mid 2000's edm. They make it engaging with the switch ups and different song structures. American music sounds mediocre to me and don't take as much risks.
Icona Pop is Swedish tho, more like they don't like "Western" music

its a remake of icona pop all night dropped in 2012 i think that its sound like the edm era of ealry 2010 which i hate by the way.its the first english single of ive to enter the us market .i agree with i'm not vibing with the song and i think its was a bad choice for them to enter the us market.they wasted saweetie ,they could done a original song.
Whoever is managing Ive's Western promo really dropped the ball with this one. This could've been a fun b-side track on an Eng mini-album I guess, but to choose this is as their debut English single is so strange. Then combine that with absolutely zero promo besides some irrelevent online magazine articles....yeah idk.
