The BATTLE in the manga is over. Horikoshi said in his weekly comments he’s planning on a long epilogue. So the SERIES isn’t over yet. But we’re close.
We have one more season, for certain. Season 8 will most likely be the final season.

It's funny that you mentioned hunter x hunter because Togashi is actually back working on it. He drops updates on the work he completed for each day on Twitter and has been pretty consistently doing so for a few weeks now. Not sure when the actual completed chapters come out tho. I'm just happy he's feeling good enough to work like this and hope he isn't straining himself to do it.

“Ojisama” (“Uncle”) is also used as a general honorific in Japanese for older men. The Aoyamas aren’t anywhere near related to that nutsack! It’s like when we (Black people) call some middle aged Black men “Unc” or “Uncle.”

Honestly, that bit with Toga and Touya really moved me. Like, Touya saying he doesn’t feel anything anymore was a blatant lie on his part, otherwise he wouldn’t have tried to help her. There’s a sense of comradery among the villains that I can’t help but kinda respect weirdly enough.

Yeah Mha use to be weekly but Hori takes alot of breaks now so it's more like 2 chapters a month now, on average. Most recent volume is 40. Next season isn't gonna to be 25 episodes....it will be a shortened season.

Season 8 will be last season for sure and could likely be 1 cour (12-13 ish episodes), so the bulk of the war should be in S7.
A lot of the final war part is action, so it will go by faster than what people think from reading manga weekly. Also the manga had shorter chapters than normal, because of the author's health to compensate - so things will go by faster in the anime adaptation than what people perceived for the manga with weekly release and breaks (scheduled breaks as normal and some unscheduled at the last minute) over the course of more than a year.
Plus this gives the more chance to add more anime original scenes (not changing the story ofc) as they been doing here and there.

@@stormblessedkiwi8049 They also mention their son bringing him 16-year aged wine as code for Aoyama luring Deku out, so it is pretty clear the whole convo is coded so it isn't suspicious if any third party listening.

AFO is truly diabolical. The pettiest generational hater. No rest for all of us moving forward. This was chapter 343 in the manga. This entire act truly finished just this week, with chapter 424.
Horikoshi plans to write the long epilogue now. So yes we get at least one more season after S7, depending on how the story goes from here.
