Nope....Hailey was totally smitten by Justin very soon after meeting him. She kept saying they were just friends, for a long time, but it's obvious she wished they were MORE than "just friends." So she stayed in the friend role, supporting him as much as she could, for quite some time, bec she loved him -- and if all she could be was a supportive friend, she would be just that for him, forever, if need be -- that's the sense that I get. And that's what love is. The day H. first met J. she didn't think he was all that great, I have read -- but then she apparently changed her mind about that pretty quickly!! (He CAN be very sweet & very attentive!!) So, I think dad, obviously, just treated H. to this backstage meeting with J., to make her happy, as most teenage girls would really want to meet J. What man with connections wouldn't do that for his teenage daughter, esp. when Justin was just so smokin' hot with the teenage girl crowd at that particular time? He was THE guy any tween or teenage girl would just give anything to meet!!! So, her dad was a nice dad -- u see him introducing himself to J., then turning & introducing his "daughter H." to J. I thought it was v. sweet of her dad, him being obviously a v. kind & tuned in kinda dad, also obviously proud of his daughter, even tho she was at that awkward age & appeared quite shy as well. I doubt he expected the two of them to actually start keeping in touch after that, & then be dating at some point in the future, never mind actually being married someday!! But I don't think he minds how it turned out!! Justin's basically a good kid, & he's certainly financially secure, AND appears to love H. a lot. It was a love that grew slowly over a few years, & not an intense hot love that burned itself out, as with Selena. I think for her dad it's H.'s happiness that matters most to him -- as it should. And it's obvious H. would do anything for J. as well ...and sometimes it's easy to fall in love with someone who is that committed to u, & is that totally supportive, & who just loves u so, so much!! If H. & J. ever break up, I don't know that he would try to go back to Selena. She may not even want him back, nevermind who she may be involved with at the time. They both may have totally outgrown any youthful attraction they once had for each other, even if it was really intense at the time. And their relationship did not appear to be all that loving sometimes, & both J. & S. remember those really unhappy times & events very well. It just didn't work out for them. I won't say H. was lying in wait all along until she could get her hands on J., but she never stopped caring about him immensely, & supported him greatly throughout, in the background, as any good friend would -- & he knew she was ALWAYS in his corner, ALWAYS had his back. That can be pretty intoxicating. And she's stunningly beautiful too -- that doesn't hurt at all!! (And H. is accomplished too!! She's not only modelled, but she's a ballerina too -- & en pointe yet!! And, I think to H., in her later teen years, that if J. were to be free some day, as he was, and he wanted more than mere friendship, as he did, I think her most cherished dream (that I think she expected would always remain just a wild dream) then amazingly, actually, came true. I don't think H. made any moves to try to cut Selena out of J.'s life -- H. just lived her life, did her thing, & stayed a sweet & supportive friend when J. needed her to be that for him. Nice girl. Smart girl!! She did not push him. And J's. not stupid either -- he saw the quality of the girl, & her quiet, steady devotion to him over the course of several years, since she was 13 yrs old!! And the fact they actually ended up married -- I don't think dad had anything to do with any of that. He was probably just as surprised as anyone, that things finally turned out that way. But he obviously likes J., thinks he's a good match for his daughter -- he actually gave his permission to J. to marry her, when J. went to him & told him his intentions re H., & actually then asked her dad for his permission! (That's a nice, polite, old-fashioned, romantic, & well brought up [Canadian!] kinda guy!!) I think H's. dad mainly wanted H. to be happy, with whomever she married -- as any good dad would -- & he's just really happy that she's really happy. There was no conniving going on here, only love.

Hailey comes off as really supportive of Justin and unconditional about her love for him. He could have really loved his ex Salena but things got really complicated and toxic between th two, being young and dumb. Especially if Salena's friends and family weren't supportive of Jalena getting back together. Obviously, the Baldwin's were more supportive of the Jailey relationship if they went on vacay together. Sometimes people choose what is peaceful and the community that supports them best. There isn't anything wrong with that. And that's what love is. The day H. first met J. she didn't think he was all that great, I have read -- but then she apparently changed her mind about that pretty quickly!! (He CAN be very sweet & very attentive!!) So, I think dad, obviously, just treated H. to this backstage meeting with J., to make her happy, as most teenage girls would really want to meet J. What man with connections wouldn't do that for his teenage daughter, esp. when Justin was just so smokin' hot with the teenage girl crowd at that particular time? He was THE guy any tween or teenage girl would just give anything to meet!!! So, her dad was a nice dad -- u see him introducing himself to J., then turning & introducing his "daughter H." to J. I thought it was v. sweet of her dad, him
being obviously a v. kind & tuned in kinda dad, also obviously proud of his daughter, even tho she was at that awkward age & appeared quite shy as well. I doubt he expected the two of them to actually start keeping in touch after that, & then be dating at some point in the future, never mind actually being married someday!! But I don't think he minds how it turned out!! Justin's basically a good kid, & he's certainly financially secure, AND appears to love H. a lot. It was a love that grew slowly over a few years, & not an intense hot love that burned itself out, as with Selena. I think for her dad it's H.'s happiness that matters most to him -- as it should. And it's obvious H. would do anything for J. as well ...and sometimes it's easy to fall in love with someone who is that committed to u, & is that totally supportive, & who just loves u so, so much!! If H. & J. ever break up, I don't know that he would try to go back to Selena. She may not even want him back, nevermind who she may be involved with at the time. They both may have totally outgrown any youthful attraction they once had for each other, even if it was really intense at the time. And their relationship did not appear to be all that loving sometimes, & both J. & S. remember those really unhappy times & events very well. It just didn't work out for them. I won't say H. was lying in wait all along until she could get her hands on J., but she never stopped caring about him immensely, & supported him greatly throughout, in the background, as any good friend would -- & he knew she was ALWAYS in his corner, ALWAYS had his back. That can be pretty intoxicating. And she's stunningly beautiful too -- that doesn't hurt at all!! (And H. is accomplished too!! She's not only modelled, but she's a ballerina too -- & en pointe yet!! I hv seen videos of her dancing, en pointe, with a partner!! That takes years & years of practice & training & dedication!!) And, I think to H., in her later teen years, that if J. were to be free some day, as he was, and he wanted more than mere friendship, as he did, I think her most cherished dream (that I think she expected would always remain just a wild dream) then amazingly, actually, came true. I don't think H. made any moves to try to cut Selena out of J.'s life -- H. just lived her life, did her thing, & stayed a sweet & supportive friend when J. needed her to be that for him. Nice girl. Smart girl!! She did not push him. And J's. not stupid either -- he saw the quality of the girl, & her quiet, steady devotion to him over the course of several years, since she was 13 yrs old!! And the fact they actually ended up married -- I don't think dad had anything to do with any of that. He was probably just as surprised as anyone, that things finally turned out that way. But he obviously likes J., thinks he's a good match for his daughter -- he actually gave his permission to J. to marry her, when J. went to him & told him his intentions re H., & actually then asked her dad for his permission! (That's a nice, polite, old-fashioned, romantic, & well brought up [Canadian!] kinda guy!!) I think H's. dad mainly wanted H. to be happy, with whomever she married -- as any good dad would -- & he's just really happy that she's really happy. There was no conniving going on here, only love.

Perhaps this is why he fell in love with her (especially if he was going through a vulnerable time in his life). He could have really loved his ex Salena but things got really complicated and toxic between th two, being young and dumb. Especially if Salena's friends and family weren't supportive of Jalena getting back together. Obviously, the Baldwin's were more supportive of the Jailey relationship if they went on vacay together.
