Most trombone players in the world appreciate Latzsch instruments for their broad sound spectrum, excellent intonation and first class quality construction.
The Lätzsch company, founded in 1949, is a genuine development laboratory for instruments. Under the leadership of former owner, Herbert Lätzsch, the classical German Trombone (the instrument made famous by Alschausky and now known as the Modell Kuhn), a new Bb/F bass trombone and contrabass trombone were created.
In 1979, shortly after his masters exam, Hans-Hermann Nienaber succeeded his uncle, Herbert Latzsch.
With his enthusiastic leadership there has been an increase in new developments.
Since he took office the most important new development has been the new Latzsch ‘full flow’ valves for the complete new trumpet series, the Bb/F bass trombones, the Latzsch-Cimbasso in F, the C bass trumpet (also available in Bb), the American model bass and tenor trombone and a complete original series of mouthpieces.
Latzsch mouthpieces are renowned for their perfect balance of sound and extreme accuracy. Special attention and care has been spent on the development of the new ‘Zoltan Kiss Edition’ mouthpiece.
All our instruments are made only from quality materials with Latzsch ‘full flow’ valves.
Amazing sounds. I wish i were younger. I've been playing brass fir 50 years. Thank you for demonstration
Didn’t expect to hear o isis und osiris from a cimbasso. Beautiful tone, nowni wanna hear a duet with a singer
Sie lächelt sogar in das Mundstück, und so klingt das dann auch, super super gut, TOLLER BEITRAG🎉🎉🎉
As an old Alto Bonist, I'm intrigued.
Those are beautiful cimbassi! I am a (very) amateur tuba player and have been wanting to try this instrument out for some time.
As a tubist, I am very interested
É o mais bonito baixo que ja ouvi
1:31 pls tell me the piece name i’m begging you
Nice David.
Any chance we might see a performance video? I could listen for hours.
Did i hear this right? DON’T YOU NEED TO OIL THE VALVES? Omg. Gimme an Euphonium with those valves ASAP!!! 😃😃😃😂😂😂
Those are rotars haha, I play horn
I have a tuba with rotory valves and I've oiled them once, it's wonderful
Hi Dave,
Are both Ruth's and your cimbassi built in F? Does Lätzsch offer cimbassi in other keys?
Steven Marcus At this point the cimbasso comes only in F There are some discussions about the other keys but it is , as always, a quality/market issue Is it feasible that an Eb cimbasso will be more interesting or etc Hard to know exactly I will ask the builder D
Amazing sounds! What piece do you play at the beginning?
I can certainly hear the trombone influence. Is this an instrument which can be played as bass clef and/or treble clef, such as the baritone?
It sounds great and like its a lot of fun to play.
Bb basses are thing, Bb tubas read in transposed treble clef, but usually only in very niche genres. If it is a Bb Cimbasso, I suppose you could play that, but they are an octave larger/lower than baritone horn.
Hi wher i can find cimbasso in Germany?
I live in Oberhausen.
Thank you..
In Bremen at the Lätzsch atelier.
You can get the telephone number on their website. Very good people! Ask for Hermann.
Thank you so much 😊
Is the mouthpiece more like a tuba or a contrabass trombone?
On this I use a contrabass trombone mouthpiece, but since then I had one remade with a tuba rim ( a little more comfortable). I believe you shouldn’t change your playing too much from tuba to cimbasso ( in gear anyways).. that will ensure you can focus on the new sound the instrument has.
Hearing rumors that you did play for the Metropole Orkest, I ask myself this: are there any other tubaists in the Metropole Orkest (or those who played for such a unit).
Hello! I sometimes play there yes! Martin van den Berg ( bass trombone) also plays tuba and does much of the doubling. Cheers!
@@Davidkutz K. But this is not the way I meant to say it. Is there a list of such tubaists? I know Juliane Gralle, but who else besides M. van den Berg?
@@mr.vorrnyvorrn2516 you mean doublers? Here in Holland are a few. Marijn Michgelson, Kees Kes, en misschien ook Harm Vuik. I think Julianne is in LA.. there are some others but I don’t know. Any reason you like to research this? Cheers.
@@Davidkutz Yeah... I mean doublers. To answer your question, I am considering casting members of Metropole Orkest for a full orchestra (Amsterdam Session Orchestra reformed).
Oh, and where are they credited?
Narra em português. Senhores elite
How is the name pronounced? With a ch or c sound?
Wow! What is the piece and ensemble at 3:18 ??
Hi! Its called Hogtown Wizzard by Steven Verhelst !
@@Davidkutz AMAZING thank you!
