I came 3rd in the first race, after fighting my way to the front of the pack, from 9th. Steve was flying, so i didn't want to hold him up. Nice to see myself in a Super GT video., and receive a compliment for my driving.

i wish they would show the tire temp somewhere... even in gt1 they had cold tires for the first lap on softs and 2 laps on hards

IS THAT GLOCK ending! As a Brazilian this gave me bad memories..
So, you see, what happened to the McLaren is that rumble strips are specially shaped to tickle the outside tires. But when the inside tires hit the strip, well, the curbing doesnt like those types of tires, they have a particular bias you see. So they kick the tires to the shadow realm, sending the whole shebang to meet Barry R.
Love the facecam, watched some older ones without it and I prefer the camera, fun races to watch

The white McLaren had pressed the gas just a tad to early while on the curb which cause the car to spin out. Same thing happened to me. So I would know that is the exact reason!!!!

I did a 71 lap race around this track in gt sport in a 919 and i did it in 1h 11m 48s with a lot of back's

Hey Super GT , do you think that roof cam has an advantage over bumper cam? I know is bit subjective or fully but if you have an opinion id really love to hear it.
White McLaren driver saw Lando in the grandstands and popped off for an autograph.
With the blond hair he has now fully embraced his inner Alex Albon LOL
13:48 he was running wide, and i think he didnt realize that and then get back on the kurp how to say that? the white green stones with ripples in it. and there the car gets back the grip, and i think he was shocked about the reaction of his car and steer the other way and maybe giving a ram on his brakes. and the car goes the other way whoeps. i think that happens to that guy. it was not a mistake, well it was a mistake but it was a reaction to the reaction of his car what makes him force into a mistake and loosing control of his car. that kind of things happens so fast in fast cars like this :)
Fun fact, Bentley's exterior design lead moved to Genesis.

It's sad and funny at the same time how the pitstop problem in offline races is still in the game. Entire endurance races wasted because my stoop takes 10 to endless seconds longer than the ai.
13:41 he prob had just got to full throttle too abruptly and quickly (and on the strip too), so he was oversteering towards the apex of the left hander. he jumps off the the throttle and jerks the steering to the left. Now the oversteer is worse and to the wrong direction only made even worse by breaking hard for the corner. The rear wheels have no weight and no traction so he tokyo drifts right off the track in the wrong direction to the corner. TL:DR poor throttle control, then panic once he realized too late he had a problem.
In that first race Super GT turned in to this seasons Super Max
What happened with the Mclaren? Took too much curb? Got on the power too early tried to correct it? Someone explain
They'd have to invent a position above 1st if Steve had competed in all of the races! Great stuff, 5th after having done only two races is amazing!

alex albon winning at sao paulo? never thought I'd see the day
I've noticed in this game that most of the "non-meta" GT3 cars handle like upgraded road cars relative to the "good, meta" GT3 cars, having several quirks that the others kinda simply do not have, as though the Supra/Nismo are designed to be the easiest/best car in these races(Porsche = tire life choice). The ways they differentiate performance is interesting but unbalanced af. I also want to say that I've never seen a Skyline GTR of any kind in real life, ever, living in the Western US. I've seen hundreds of Lambos, Teslas, etc. but never a Skyline. It was cool for a minute in NFS:U but to me it's such a meme vehicle and gets way more attention/love than I think it deserves. If it's truly "the best" I have yet to see it.

The tires were dying, true, but if you had waited one more lap to pit, you wouldn't have had a chance. Brilliant strategy man, it all came down to the starting positions on the grid,. Had you started fourth or higher, you would have pulled off with the leading pack and you would have won after switching to softs.
Yeah, I did a 1.33.9 on the last lap on completely dead soft tyres. My last lap on the hard tyres was 1.33.7. Probably wouldn't have much difference either way in hindsight. I agree that grid position was more the bigger factor!
