Im currently a senior in high school and currently planning on going into actuarial science. Is there any additional courses that I should take that would be beneficial with actuarial science? Thank you for these videos too, they are answering quite a few questions I had about being an actuary
Learning anything you can about Excel or programming will come in handy later! Statistics, finance, and calculus would also be helpful. Of course you don't need to take all of these, I'm just listing them off to give you lots of options :D
It's never too late to start your actuarial journey! Many people begin their actuarial studies later in life and still have successful careers. The important thing is to stay dedicated and keep learning. :)
Hi Azarel! Either one is a good option! Whether you choose a math major or minor will depend on what you would rather major in. Some common majors for actuaries besides math are Statistics and Finance, for example.
