Followed this video and it came out perfect! Thank you for the information and explaining it so well bro! First time building a smoker outside of a shop. Was building Aaron Franklins line of smokers for him in Austin, Texas.
@@blowingdiesel time out. I’ve been watching your build since you started!!! I’ve been debating on doing the axle swap. Dude your truck is sweet. Mines my daily right now. That’s the only thing holding me back. Basically all I was about to do is replace the whole front end and put a red head on it. Just scared of death wobble if I do the swap.
This video really helped me out! Thanks. On your doors, the straps you install, what is the width and thickness of them usally?? Thanks again. Great stuff!!
Where do you all get the tanks? I’ve been looking in my area but folks on fb marketplace are trying to sell way to high. Also do you turn on a fire after every build to test it and/or how have you come to determine the grate/firebox level? I saw on the other video you all don’t add a baffle, do you compensate the level if a customer requests a baffle?
Man that’s great job I built my reverse flow smoker and it was not easy for my first smoker and we don’t have any one built a smoker in our country Can I know the firebox throat size for 500 gallons offset ?
How does one determine where the hole cut out for the placement of the firebox should go? Wouldn't you want the firebox hole and collector placement to be centered over the grate. So that half of the convection heat flows over the top and bottom of the meat?
HELP.....im bulding a new offset smoker that has cc 20"x36" coupled with fb size 16"x16"x16", how big would the cut out area be? According to feldon's it needs 32.77 sq inch opening area. But after iput the drawing on, it seems like 32.77 is too small? No? any recommendation? Also which shape do you recommend? i plan to position my fb at the half on my cook chamber thank you..
Not a step by step We cut them full of water and soap. But I’m not telling you that’s the safest ways. I don’t want to be liable for anything. This is why we haven’t made a video

Another awesome video. Was just going through your videos the other day wondering when a new video would come out! Hope y'all are well.
Thanks man. Hope you are doing good yourself!

Thank you
Our straps are 1.5” wide 1/8” thickness
Love the videos was wondering where you get your insulation from, I'm building a smoker and am having trouble locating some.
I usually get it from Home Depot. It’s high temp insulation. I believe it’s used for wood burning stoves. It has worked great so far
Great channel...love the content. Question for you: why did you decide to cut the doors with the angle grinder instead of the plasma cutter?
Haven’t gotten good enough with plasma to cut the doors.
Well now we’re using the plasma.
Muy bien trabajo. Una consulta desde Uruguay. Que largo tiene la caja de fuego y a qué altura va del cilindro principal. Muchas gracias x tu ayuda

We’re about to do a reverse flow.
And roughly 3ft long x 37 inches

Sounds about right. Just go for it. If you need to cut more cut more. May have to test it out and just see
Man I'm in love with size of that pit ....how many gallons is it....
Prob 100-150.
I ended up racking my tanks together when doing the line lol. I couldn’t keep the firebox from moving!
Yea mine kind of moved in this video. I should’ve put a tac on it
What kind of disc were you using?
To cut? Just the diablos
Do you have a video on how to evacuate the tank?
Not a step by step

How would the bottom cut change if I were doing this on Another tank
Some people do round end cap fire box’s if that make sense.
How can we go about ordering a smoker from you. Looked for a website but unsuccessful in finding one.

Why does it have to be under 6' 10"?
Guy put it in on his porch model trailer. It’s a 7ft tall ceiling.
Why not cut the fire box to suit the tank. Make the firebox longer.
I’m sorry I’m not understanding what you’re meaning. Like basically extending the tank longer?
Did that trailer headed out here to Lubbock go to a business? If so, do you mind saying who it was?
Yes. He’s going to do a place
“Boomerang bbq”
