I don't understand the reason for the negative feedback. This lady went out of her way to make a video to show people how to make a craft, for free. Is it perfect, no. But, neither are any of the people leaving comments here. If you don't like the pattern, move on. No reason to be nasty. I personally enjoyed it. I was able to whip out a sweater in just a few hours. I also appreciate the fact that there is a lot of wiggle room for this pattern...you can make it for any size dog, if you have the measurements. Thank you for the time you took to video a pattern, and then post it for free!
Many thanks Amy! Negative feedback is unfortunately cause of being lazy to calculate or be flexible. People want to get orders: Chain this number, crochet this amount of rows. And if they do not get an exact direction for 1000 different dog sizes, they say this pattern is sh... Finally one of few persons who understands that I wanted to show a tutorial for any size. I'm very thankful for your comment!!! Sometimes one feels like the only person on planet ...
Like Amy, I too do not get the negative comments. I mean really can't people think outside the box. I loved the tutorial and its felxability. I made two for my doggies and they were a perfect fit. Seriously what else are you going to measure to but your own dog. SMH Some people. That said, I loved the vid! Thanks again
Sorry that I have Asperger Syndrome and can"t calculate as many do, is not always laziness is really people wanting to do normal stuff with a brain that was wired different.
This took me one week and I ended up with a fantastic sweater for my hard to fit dog! This was my first ever crochet project and the video was incredibly easy for me to follow. Vielen Dank!!!!
I'm reading comments about this being to small, short etc. She said at the beginning that you choose length and width. I measured my dog and it worked out beautifully. This is an excellent beginner pattern. Thank you.
I just made this sweater for a friend's 3yo Yorkie. The collar was around 34-36 rows of 20 half double stitches across. I started the slits for the arms after 9 or 10 rows. I followed her work exactly the rest. It fits her perfectly. Thank you for the video!
wow I remember making this when I first learned to crochet sometime in 2014, i still have the sweater for my dog Lily and a photo of it somewhere on ravelry. I'm looking to make another one for her that is in maybe lighter cotton. Glad to have found you again and thankful that you still have the tutorial up. 🦋
Oh my! This took me an afternoon on and off to complete. Very easy to alter the size if you have the dog there. Little Max is already keeping warm. Thank you 🐶
Thank you for this tutorial! I'm a rusty crocheter, but this easily helped me make a comfy sweater for my recently-groomed miniature poodle. I think she'll be much more comfortable now.
By the way, where you join the neck to the body, I changed it up a little. Instead of joining using the hdc stitch, I did slip stitches all the way around first, THEN I did the hdc using the sl st's as the place to put the hook. It makes for a much cleaner/neater looking join area. :) I've been sizing it on my pug as I go, and it has worked like a charm! She's got room in her chest area, and I'm reducing as I go as she tapers to a slim waist towards the back. Then at the "V", I keep the same # of stitches for the "tube" effect. I added "butt-ruffles" to the bottom and a little lacy fringe around the edge of the neck. This is a great pattern! You can use it for a base pattern and do all sorts of additions to it. Ruffles, appliques, stripes, or a flower. I used Peruvian wool so that when it rains, the pug will stay warm, even when wet.
Lisa Kasper I would love to see some of your designs .. I have a pomapoo and she loves a sweater lol 😁 I have not yet courage to design my own ( or skill lol) and the ones available are so dated.. would be great for some fresh pooch fashion ! Xx
I'm about half way through the doggie sweater and so far so good! I'm making it for my 100 lbs male Bouvier/Retreiver Mix who was recent diagnosed with hypothyroidism and has barely any hair right now and it gets very cold in Canada. Thank You for the tutorial. It's very easy to follow.
My daughter and I are making the sweater through "What's up video app" from different states. She is in Las Vegas and I am in New York! Thank you a lot for to keep family together in the distance! 💛
This is the best doggy sweater ever! I've made bunches of these for my dogs (now passed on) and even a few for a neighbor's dog. We've received so many compliments. Next, I'll make one in lavender for my newly adopted Tibetan Terrier, Panda. Thanks so much for this pattern and excellent tutorial.
I have watched many videos on various projects and I like this video because you can see the stitches and I can understand her lovely voice. I loved this dog sweater and so easy to adjust the sizes so thank you for sharing this with us....
I so enjoyed this tutorial! I am a novice Crocheter and have only done scarves and granny squares! I have been wanting too learn how to do some dog sweaters for my 2 Grand Pugs and maybe one for my Cat Norman too! 😇 Thank you for sharing your skills and making this easy enough too follow for a newbie too trying to crochet a sweater for dogs! 😍💗😇👍
This video is just fantastic! I'm Spanish and my English isn't very well but I could understand everything with this video! Thank you so much! I finally did a sweater to my little dog :)
I love this pattern, I just change different color. It really is one of my little dogs favorite sweater. So easy to adjust to any size dog.Thank you for taking the time to shows us this.....
Thank you Woolpedia for the great video. I agree, don't understand the negativity, if you don't like it just move on, or do you complain about EVERYTHING?
Hi! You probably won’t see this but, thank you thank you thank you! This will be my first project, as I’ve just gotten into crochet! Thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You make it look so easy and your tutorial is so great that it was a lot easier than I thought it would be to make. Thanks for a great tutorial and a pattern I can customize for any dog size. Fabulous !
I love this pattern ☺️ I’m somewhat new to crocheting and this was very easy to follow. I also made a perfectly fit sweater for my dog. Usually the store bought ones are just too long. Thank you ☺️
This is my first time making my Minature Schnauzer a sweater, he loves clothing, this is a great beginners guide to making your dog nice sweater. I definitely recommend doing this. ☺😃
This was such an easy tutorial! It's my boyfriends and mines first Christmas, and we recently just got a puppy and we wanted to take pics with her for Christmas cards. She loves sweaters and can't wait to see her in this one, thank you🥰🥰🥰
I purchased your pattern and it was well worth it. I've tried many patterns, but the legs always didn't work out right. This pattern was very easy to follow. Thank you very much😊 .
This is great, a few alterations, couple of stitches increased and decreased because its for my cats, till turned out neat, thankyou so much for your tutorial
Can you post your directions for your cat sweater as I want too make my cat Norman a sweater and am new too trying to make a sweater for an animal! I’ve only done scarves & some granny squares so far. I would be so grateful 🐾💗😇👍
Thank you for the free pattern and video. I am going to adapt the pattern recipe for my friend's cat who was ill yesterday and had her fur shaved off at the vet.
This was great! I am going to try this. I love the European designs and creative stitches and patterns. Your design is simple and elegant, AND can be changed in size as you go rather than having to measure your dog and try to follow a pattern. Nicely done! I have pugs, and have yet to find a pattern or piece of ready made clothing that fits their little upside-down pear shapes. I can accomodate them with this pattern as I create the piece. Thank you.
love how easy you make this look I've wanted to get into crochet for a while I can knit but think crochet would be better less tools but it's always been so daunting so never given it a try found your video and it was so easy to follow on going to buy a crochet hook tomorrow and give it a whirl I have two small pups and finding jumpers to keep them warm and small enough is hard and knitting one takes forever so will give this ago. thank you for taking your time to film this x
I think this is a fantastic tutorial. I’m fairly new at crochet, and I hope to follow this (well-explained) tutorial to make this adorable sweater for my doggy. 💗
Awesome and very easy to follow along with. Im making my dog a dinosaur sweater and i used your sweater pattern. Just have to add spikes & itl be complete & ADORABLE !! :)
I thought this was a great pattern. Simplicity is always my moto. I see no sense in complicating things when not necessary. The dog gets a nice coat and will be warm. I appreciated this video very much.
I just starting too crochet the sweater. Then realize the last sweater I got, I hated it cause it didn't have that hole to put lease through. so I made a hole, just like you made for the legs., but smaller, the row after you put in the two markers. let you know how I make out. thank you ladybrookes
Thank you so much for this because the arm holes was where I was having a problem and I couldn’t figure out how to do the middle panel so thank you thank you thank you
Hola un gran saludo y abrazos desde.Guadalaja Jal, Méx hice mis sueters para mis perrijas y me quedaron hermosas muchas Gracias por compartir sus tecnicas. 😊
