For some reason they leave that with reform to full hangeul and adding space (which not exist in japanese) and found themselves easier rather than when they still mix it with hanja.
But idk, writing is not done only for that reason, mainly culture and history make a big trait - especially for long history of never-severely-bad-traited-to-be-colonized-like-us-indonesians East Asian nations.
