I dont like to critique online lessons, but this isn't a very good tutorial technically...and not really how Rob Baker plays it...its an ok rendition but I cant rate this very high. Andy at shutup and play has an excellent tutorial on this Bobcaygeon, and Ahead by a Century...Andy is a gifted player and teacher.
You mostly just look annoyed. at even teaching this song. Maybe, you should move on to Beethoven, and let the novices play something that motivates them.? This song is heartbreaking!
Great lesson (why did I wait so long to get into open tunings?) Any chance of you doing a lesson on Grace Too?
finally starts playing around 3 minutes in

Hi, I love this song..you play it beautifully, I was wondering if you can email me the tabs for this song? Can't seem to find the right tabs on Google
Hi Janet, I put a link to the transcription in the description. This was written by Robert in the 90's.
Great lesson! I'm afraid to tune up to E so I tune to open D and capo at the 2nd fret....sounds fine...
thats a good solution...I do this too as Open E puts a lot of stress on the neck and strings when kept in that tuning for a long time
the band was actually called "friends of fiddlers green" and was formed in 71 :)
How is the pick up wired?
great thanks
