Y’all like Tommy; you ain’t got no job!” Tommy was one of the characters in Martin and there was a running gag where no one knew where Tommy worked because he’d be super vague about it, so everyone assumed he didn’t have a job. Years after the show finished, it was revealed by the actor that Tommy worked at some sort of kid’s foundation or something, IIRC. Not sure how valid that actually was at the time of filming though. Great show overall. Definitely a classic amongst African American households.

“Yeah, but will it do the ultimate song? Boston’s More Than A Feeling.” Carl knows what’s up. More Than A Feeling is such a GREAT song. A true masterpiece. My all time favorite by Boston. The guitars and harmonics during the intro, the harmonics leading into the second verse, Brad Delp’s singing voice everything about More Than A Feeling is fucking badass. I always have to listen to the intro a few times before listening to the whole song. The intro and second verse are my favorite parts. I don’t care if some people think that song is overplayed. It’s not played enough if you ask me. One more thing, I want that song to be played at my funeral.
