finally a video that doesnt miss 1800s ottoman flag
All of these flags are so cool! It's also very interesting to see the common elements and how the stuff outside of them varies from region to region

EDİT.
How the fuck is this comment is this much argued and liked.

@Adolf Hitler yoooo. Hitler wassup bro... (don't put me into your sandwich plz)
As someone who has researched languages I have learned that everyone is Turkic.
So this video really brings me to tears.
@@Elkelbash There's an outdated linguistic theory called "Altaic". It links together the Turkic, Mongolic and Tungusic languages into one big language family. While these languages share much in both grammatical structure and vocabulary this theory has now been debunked and rather explained by extensive contact. Some Turkic nationalists and otherwise oblivious people can not accept the fact that these languages are not related. The Altaic theory is sometimes expanded to include Japanese, Korean and even the Uralic and Yukaghir languages with other smaller language families sometimes thrown in. It's not unheard of to see Turkic people claiming even crazier theories. A random language in the middle of Africa can be Turkic if we just believe in that enough apparently. When I'm watching a video about some smaller Uralic language or something like that I may find someone in the comments asking if the language in question is Turkic or worse, claiming it is against years of built up scientific evidence. As a Finn it's also sad to see Hungarians disown their linguistic ties to the Uralic language family by spreading lies about their language being Turkic.
I absolutely support the unity of Altaic peoples. A Turk can consider Mongols for example their brothers through shared history and culture even though the languages are not related.
Edit: Wow your Arabic name aligned my text to the right. That's kinda cool. :D
@@netsong2239 isn't true actually. The thought of "Everyone is Turkic" comes from Turkish Historical Theory (Türk Tarih Tezi) which is created in 30s and not true.
@@victoriaacdominationis4289 Ok I actually didn't know this earlier. Turks are apparently really good at coming up with questionable theories on their origins.
@@netsong2239 i understand. In Turkey many thoughts, ideologies, theories accepted from West. This theory created for republics historic perspective. Also people got this historic theory for identifize themselves. That's understandable too. But it hasn't any correctness in todays world. Thank your politeness.

Funfact: the crescent star symbol adopted by the ottomans that is largely associated with Islam today, was taken from the Byzantines, which in turn was taken from the Sassanids
Crescent and the Moon actually symbolises the world, Turks had a dream of conquering the world or spreading Islam to every corner of this world. We often hear in books or in Tv Shows that leaders say “This land would be our Yurt, and the Moon would be our flag.” Referring to they conquering the whole world.
@Ksjs Jdjdb Dostum ay İslam'ın sembolü değil. Türklerde yeniden doğuşun sembolü ve Türkler tarafından İslam'a katılan bir sembol
@Ksjs Jdjdb Ay yıldız İslam'a Türklerden geldi.

@@SamirMDR It reffers to old story(for Türkiye it is because of Gallipoly war when WWI pccours but the flag goes very back in time so I dont think the real reason is this). When Turks are having war there is so much dead people and blood. According to story when night come moon and star shined on the blood and reflect. So thats why background is red and there is moon and star in our flag.

Hungary is Uralic, not Turkic.
and no, Uralic Peoples(Finns, Hungarians, and some minorities in Russia) are not related to Turkic.
@@emiriye One of the Ancestors of "Hun"gary is the European Hun State. In addition, Hungarians, Bulgarians and Finns are Turks, but they lost their Turkishness because they were assimilated.
@@yesilturk4083 "European Hun State" is just called the Hunnic Empire in English.
Huns weren't one people, but tribal confederation of many Mongolic, Turkic and Uralic peoples. On top of that, Hungarians don't really have anything to do with Huns, very surprisingly. Magyars(Hungarians) only began settling to Europe 3 centuries later.
Although Uralics and Turkics shared (and maybe still share) familiar cultures and lifestyles, it doesn't really make them relatives.
