MSC Euribia And The “ENDLESS” Excursion - Is This A Joke!

- Were we glad to get off the MSC Euribia? We get to the end of the MSC Euribia Northern European cruise with our final (premature) stop in Le Havre.
Due to a strike in Zeebrugge, Euribia headed to Le Havre a day early.
We take a MSC Excursion to Rouen which continues the overall chaotic theme of the cruise.
The excursion departs late, driver gets lost and gets the bus stuck between bollards.

Am glad Mel is feeling much better ❤
Thanks
We felt the same way after the exact trip at Christmas , we’ve always done P and O will never do MSC again. I agree with everything you said.
Sorry Mel got sick. Well at least you made it home safe. Enjoy your next cruise we’ll be watching 😊
Thanks so much!
With a ship with so many passengers it must be difficult to make sure everyone washes their hands after the toilet and before meals
Yep. Very difficult.
It's hard enough on ships with around 1000 passengers. We were on one cruise where they were forced to lock the public toilets and passengers had to go all the way back to their cabins to use the loo.
A great set of videos thanks. I get the impression that if I was younger and was looking for a lively time with my mates, MSC would be excellent value for money. But, at our age, for my wife and I, it's not relaxing enough. It's a shame about your experience in Rouen. We had two days there recently on a cruise and it's a wonderful place to while away the time.
Yes, if you’re younger, it would be perfect. We were disappointed the trip to Rouen was so bad as we did want to see it.
I'm on this cruise in march so interested to see how I get on compared with P&O and Cunard.
Some people did enjoy the cruise but we had quite a number of things which went wrong.
Go with an open mind, do Rouen via train, easy. Head for L'Atelier bar on Euribia. Excursions were well run.
The pub quizzes were good. Be prepared to feel like you're on a busy cross channel ferry at times...
We were on this ship Nov 2023, amazing ship, had a wonderful time. Think your food poisoning could have been from Hamburg? Never buy food from these street markets, they keep the food just warm for hours.
Although she hadn't eaten off the ship for 36 hours previously.
We were on that route and it's Hamburg then Rotterdam the next day? Did you not say that she was ill when you were in Rotterdam? and she had eaten from the street market in Hamburg previous day?
@@user-oj9do9ok7z There was a sea day in between.
Still questionable, everyone onboard by 9pm from Hamburg? and your wife was ill from evening of sea day to Rotterdam? We had a wonderful cruise on this ship and I do not think it's right to blame MSC for the food poisoning. Also we have been on many cruises and after picking up the serving spoons to get your food, do not eat with your hands use knives and forks, not everyone washes there hands and germs can spread to serving spoons to your hands. When you have a lot of people on a ship you can pick up germs easily. Just a tip for your next cruise.
@@user-oj9do9ok7z I'm not going to really argue the point. We shared the same dish in Hamburg at 11am. Mel became sick overnight the next day, at least 36 hours later. We are glad you liked the trip but we won't be rushing back. (That's why we said and explained it's not for MSC fans)
Gosh. Mister Grumpy 😢
Yes, because it was crap!
Le Havre to Rouen by train is around an hour and only cost us £12.62 return- in advance booked via Trainline... tip.
We found the Euribia in November to be overcrowded- but we learnt fast- and found L'Atelier bar to be an oasis of calm- in a ship of chaos. We think it was because of the drinks prices and package validity here, limiting the clientèle a bit
We thought the MSC excursions to be good value and well run.
For Rouen we went on our own via SNCF (booked a private guide). Low risk of stranding...
The dining room was average, tightly packed, didn't like it.
The buffet was busy but never terrible.
Speciality dining was pretty good, excellent in fact.
The staff were great.
The cabin was great.
The entertainment was great.
Usually use RCI / Celebrity- nothing would persuade me to use MSC again tbh- unless unique ports?
oh dear - I personally cant relate to your cruise experience as I have been on 3 MSC cruises (hot weather med cruises) and all were pretty good, Im on Euribia next week so will see how it goes...I really enjoyed all your honest videos from the Euribia. I totally agree everyone has a different experiences so Im not doubting yours. Such a shame, as they are really pretty good value and so accessible from the Uk.
I have cruised with Princess, NCL and Royal Caribbean and have had pretty good cruises. (former Princess staff, so I know my cruising, spent a few years working onboard)
Best of luck on your next cruise and look forward to the review
Thanks - Hope you have a good trip and everything goes well. 👍
Thank you !
How was the organisation when you went on the med cruises?
@@MellissaWilliamsjewellerylover hi it was good . We don’t tend to do booked trips as we have traveled the med loads so just do our own thing ashore. The last ship bought trip was very good . They had us wait in a lounge until we were called to meet coaches outside . No issues with the trip.
I do tend to get off later rather than earlier so I’m not caught in rush .. and come back on board early before the queues to get back on board.
Love your vids once you go on Princess you'll never go back on P&O get the princess plus package fantastic cocktails
Thanks for the tip, we are looking forward to it.
Can’t wait Daniel!
Hope you guys got a refund (or partial) for the Rouen trip? Love following your adventures 🙏👍
Yes, we did manage to get one.
Oh no had terrible time on Virtuosa alot of complaints i hope they get their act together 🙏 staff where good at reception and i got vouchers but for another MSC cruise .
Consider a River Cruise in Europe. Have a look Ben & David have one they took during the Christmas season and the boat went to the Christmas Markets. Very nice traveling the rivers.
Yes, we do fancy a Christmas river cruise. 👍
Have you tried the Portcawl to Ilfracombe ferries or The Cardiff to Weston Super Mare Ferries. I have been to these wonderful places but not via the local ferry service.
Unfortunately, these are not ferries but now just very occasional day trips in the summer. We did try and do the Ilfracombe trip last summer but it sells out really quickly.
It would be nice to have a South Wales Bristol Channel Somerset Ferry service on a regular basis not just the summer.
Hi Marcus awesome live video I enjoyed it. We finally have snow in Ontario Canada. How are you doing? I'm doing well and so is my cat Benjamin have a great day see you next video 😊
See you in the next video. No sign of snow for us.
Well said we were on a cruise earlier last year and I am sorry to say it wasn’t up to scratch the food was terrible we boarded at lunchtime our room was ready and it was dirty there was even the passenger before us left bags of old dirty shoes in bags and the carpet was even dirty the shore excursions were a joke we had to wait over two hours at palma for the bus to take us back to the ship even when we were leaving for excursions we had to wait up to an hour to get on the bus I feel for you we do have to pay a fair price for these holidays xx
That trip didn't sound good. We won't be rushing back either.
This looks horrendous! On a smaller MSC ship in April so hoping it is a better experience than this. Thanks for honesty and saying it as it is …
We're sure you'll have a good time. This was a nice ship but for our trip, the organisation was bad, maybe because it's still relatively new.
I do hope Mel fully recovered and that MSC did the honourable thing and reibursed that awfull trip. Whilst I do agree that everyone will have a different experience your Vlog series on MSC has made my mind up. Ill stick with P&O ...plus I get a discountvwith them...😂 Thanks for sharing
We can usually have a good time on any trip, but on this one, we were glad to get home.
We were in a queue for the Hamburg market the same week and was 10 minutes maximum .
Are you suggesting we made our experience up? Why?
Just saw what they did to ben and david. Seems like not much has changed since your review. Will not be going on them anytime soon. Thanks for your honest review 👍🏾 😊
Yes we've just seen that, typical MSC. The management don't seem to have any idea.
Do you think there were a lot of rif rafts on board? That is my concern - stuck on board with chavs.
The other guests were fine, but the MSC management....... not so good
@@flydriveexplore hopefully MSC will listen to your comments and improve.
MSC Europa if you want Euro-Chavs, and their kids. Awful Jan-24, Red Sea cancelled so took a Med cruise- dreadful on the ship- no decent bars. The excursions and ports compensated for a busy chaotic majority Italian cruise. The crew were great, the cabin too, speciality dining great. Entertainment very average, Euribia better. Constant announcements in 5-6 languages exhausting.... def def never again.
Added to Do Not Recommend Channel list,, you made this to easy!!!!
Although you still took the time to comment, so thanks!
Agree, you pay MSC, the contract is with MSC, P and O are much better at organising excursions.
Agreed!
We got lucky, 2 MSC cruises, fantastic excursions- made up for the overcrowded ships a bit. But back to RCI/Celeb for us.
@@robward367 I would go on MSC again but only for a cruise where you can go outdoors, somewhere like the Caribbean I think
Sorry Mel had food poisoning.Although we have never experienced this on a holiday my mummy also had sickness from food.I however was poisoned in Wales by nasty jelous karen whom we know.A girl who was helped in many ways by me became jelous+the woman put something in my food.My x actor Austin overheard she admitted it+he informed me.I think flying to destination is better,a few days in destination+onto another is by far the better option in my opinion as i dislike cruises. My poor granny+mummy were twive on Queen Mary+some arranged people frightened them.
That cruise looked awful. Possibly you booked for the wrong time of the year to places that are best visited in the summer months. And that excursion out of Le Havre was just a complete rip off. A lesson learned.....lol.
Yep, lesson learned.
Summer cruise would be better I am sure
Asked Taxi driver in Southampton that collected us from our last (P&O) cruise to tell us what he hears from customers. He told us to avoid MSC as he hears nothing but complaints about them from people he picks up.
I can see why.
We were on your cruise (didn't spot you unfortunately) It was every bit as awful as you describe
It was a bit of shame as we were looking forward to the trip and being on a new ship.
Sorry what you want though it terrible
