We also just want to preface that we are fairly new to reacting to music and want to be authentic and honest as possible. As many of you have figured, we do not have any professional background in music so we apologize for offending anyone with our comments and lack of knowledge, that is never our intention. We never meant to discredit Michael Jackson as a legend and him being the pioneer and king of pop music, who has inspired many other legends such as Bruno Mars. Yes, we are GenZ so it was a bit more difficult for us to make that connection. Watch jungkook performing in his surprise mini concert in Times Square. They only told us 30 minutes before the performance lol and it was still a huge crowd and he did 5 songs in a row from golden.. he was amazing, charismatic, and just glowing performing! You should love it !

not a genZ thing since I'm a 2000s baby. you honestly have to have little outside music knowledge to not immediately hear the MJ influence in this track. literally the beginning instrumental reminded me completely of "rock with you" and a little bit of "remember the time"
I wasn’t a huge fan of the song the first time I heard it… it’s not typically a sound I search for and something a little new for JK…. Definitely has the old mj vibes but a lot of modern jungkook flair all over it with his runs and adlibs.. but I love how they intentionally added jk doing the mj adlibs right at the end of the song when it’s just bass and drums so that way it stands out. I don’t know why everyone is so mad they’re comparing this to Bruno mars considering he’s greatly inspired by mj as well lol so it relates… and they mentioned mj a couple times.. and if they don’t pick up on all the mj homage.. kindly inform them without being so rude and insulting ! Anyway it wasn’t my fave on the album the first time I heard it.. but the 2nd and 3rd time I was absolutely obsessed with it and is with imo. I love seven and 3d, closer to you, somebody… shot glass full of tears…. Please don’t change… made for army and the choreo he did performing it just brought it to life… when he performed “hate you” and his new adlib during it… ugh jungkook is an absolute star!!! I’m so proud! I really hope you’ll check out him performing at Times Square…. He did 5 songs… or even his showcase he did… it’s like 2 hours of him performing and just talking and interacting with army… it’s the perfect content to understand and appreciate the man that jungkook is and the insane duality of him as a performer!!!! The song definitely grew on me, but I would still say my favorite songs from his album are Seven and Somebody! It's definitely a different experience seeing him PERFORM these songs because he just adds so much depth and life into the songs through his performance. Hi, I think you're misunderstanding. Depending on where you live, definitions of a bar may be different. We were talking about the classy bars you see in the movies, maybe something like a James Bond movie where there's music accompaniment. So it's not a bad thing in anyway. We were mostly saying that because of the instrumentals at that moment.
