The Baboo wreck is a very easy wreck to discover on the island of Aruba since it is visible from the shore or from the road.
Located at the southern end of Malmok Beach, it is home to a large and diverse population of tropical fish.
This ship was intentionally sunk to create an artificial reef and is in an area of water approximately 2 to 3 meters deep.
Large populations of fish find refuge in this shipwreck. The shallow depth makes it a great snorkeling destination as visibility is excellent.
Departure is from the beach. The water is shallow. It is best to go there when the sea is calm because when it is rough it makes swimming to or from the wreck much more difficult.
