There's been a couple theories about the bracelet, but I'll present mine. First, the vintage figure had one. Leatherneck was a Force Recon Marine during the Vietnam War. During that conflict, the Montagnard bracelets were very popular among GI's. The Montagnard bracelet is a wire bracelet with ball ends exactly like what we see on Leatheneck. In the 80's, those bracelets were popular in surplus stores and mail order ads in magazines like Soldier of Fortune. As a kid, I had a silver one I ordered from SOF that looked just like Leatherneck's.
Mine had been in the house for 2 full days before I did the review, so he was plenty warm. That right knee was tight, but no tighter than others I've opened up and worked on before I needed to stop and use heat. This is a fantastic figure. I couldn't care less about his size, especially since he's portrayed differently in different media.
Haven’t seen this one in my area yet. I hear it won’t hit us til Feb….im not sure who I’ll like more, him or Dial tone.DTs gonna be hard to top, I think
If this is modeled after punk with toys I wonder who Larry has in mind to be wetsuit? Does punk have someone he butt heads with all the time but happens to be his best friend?

Yes ! In the Marine Corps, it's called a cover.
In the cartoon, he was definitely a bigger guy !
They should have used a muscular/bigger body for him.
Honestly had me with the No Skateboard disappointment for a moment.
It just feels true.
@@machineman6498 . I tried hard to find one of my mini skateboards, but still unpacking my stuff.😂
Bracelet on his right arm is a POW / MIA bracelet. Rifle he came with is a M4 with a M203 grenade launcher
Fist is for shark news 😂
@@EvilDookie thank you! … 👍
Leatherneck will always be Ron Rudat. Maybe he can explain the wristband and glasses.
@@StickFiguresGuy I will ask him next time I see him at a convention👍
Good thing he's got those drop down hip joints, he'll get a 1:12 inch or 2! 😆👍
@@einblutwolf 😂😂😂 right!
I want this one. My favorite so far is lowlight. Always was my favorite character
@@0u812343 lowlight is awesome! Love the way they did him. No need for the retro..
Just got that wave this week. Dial tone looks awesome
@@ralphvaderguy6860 can’t wait to get my hands on Dialtone
Why the F did they make him short? The 1980s version didn't seem short.
@@cadencero5313 he was definitely tall in the cartoon.. that I know for sure
@Toyenhancer 👍

@@arsenhovsepian1524 haven’t seen it yet.. I’ll check it out 👍
Bees Battleground has a review… I’ll wait for an actual Hasbro version. I’m old school.
@ I did see that. Just forgot the name of it… it’s pretty cool but I think I’ll wait for the classified version also… it’s destined to come out
