Tyler has a respect for the game & truly studies hip-hop like Kendrick does, so it’d fit with his story right now. i haven’t listened to CHROMAKOPIA too often but from what i’ve gathered, i think the message of that album also could fit well with this GNX era too.

idk if this song was from an album, but the moment I realized Tyler raps fr was when I saw someone post his Potato Salad music video. Thought it was a meme when I clicked it (knew he made music, but also knew him from Loiter Squad and the title seemed more humorous than musical) and instead it turned out to be full of actual bars. Was a song I kept in rotation for a while afterwards. Then me and my friend went to III Points Miami when he was one of the headliners and performed his latest album at the time (Flower Boy). Didn't know the album walking in, but immediately added it to my library afterwards. Have been paying attention to him ever since and seeing him reach Chromokopia has been quite the musical journey. glad i caught him ahead of time so I can appreciate Chromokopia even more
