I bought some of the cupped magnets from Lee Valley (they have a hole so you can screw them to wood) and put one on my workbench, tablesaw stand and jointer stand to hold steel engineers squares. That way I always have one handy and don't have to go searching for one.
Brian Bain I have a bunch of those too but haven't used them on wood, great idea!
Great idea
Thanks!
Glad to see your tips videos back. This one was very attractive :)
Jim Dockrell 👍👍👍
Ya know those really good magnets you find in old hard drives?
If you use a torch they come off real easy from the bracket, but they lose their magnetism.

+Make With Dad yeah it’s so convenient!
Good idea. Why do you keep a car and motorbike in your shop?
Not by choice =)
...an attractive tip
I see what you did there =)
;) Glad you're back at it.
Magnets are great for storage if you use them right, all my ratchet extensions are stuck to my tool lid with big magnets.
