Wet your hands BEFORE you touch a fish that you want to put back.

I don't think that's so important in the sea, as the fish don't have the protective slime they acquire once in freshwater. Wetting the hands is supposed to stop the removal of slime, which often results in infections entering.

looks identical to our own estuary in Co down only without the colony of over 300 seals you wouldn't get the fish to the boat, and we are not allowed to keep any fish not that any can get through the seal blockade

I fish the Moy estuary which has a big seal colony too and have no difficulty hooking or landing trout. often while they look on

Really Beautyful fish and scenery. A nicely made video with a plus for the honesty to show also the dispatch, neverless a bit sad to see such a beauty killed. But much more so (sad) to read, that estuary netting may have restated there according to a report in the May edition of Trout and Salmon magazine.

What's the name of the fly, can't really hear what you were saying Golden something, would love to tie some to try on our estuaries here. If I can have the name would be great, thanks in advance and thanks for the video, really great. Tight lines.

I really would not bother for anyone thinking of going there. If the seals don't get the remainder of the stock then I,m sure the Usan netting will. Nice to see the anglers preserving the fish too. Not.

why do anglers insist on unhooking the fish before the last rites...its perverse to put the fish through that process alive....thoughtless and quite unnecessary

how do tide conditions affect estuary fishing? Best with rising tide? And when is sea trout season? Summer only?
