Hey Folks,
Today Visit the Britannia & Co. Parsi Restaurant in Mumbai, a very beautiful and energetic city, a Persian restaurant with 101 years history. I tried some of their star dishes which are as below:
⭐️ PALLONJI RASPBERRY SODA
⭐️ PALLONJI ICE CREAM SODA
⭐️ CHICKEN FARCHA
⭐️ CHICKEN SALI WITH WHITE BREAD AND CHAPATI
⭐️ CHICKEN BERRY PULAV
Unfortunately I couldn't meet Late Mr. Boman Rashid Kohinoor because he passed away in the year 2019 at the age of 97.
The iconic eatery was set up in 1923 by Mr. Rashid Kohinoor, whose family fled from Iran to avoid religious persecution and settled in Mumbai the year Boman Kohinoor was born.
Mr. Boman took charge of the restaurant at a young age after his father died in an accident.
For several years, Boman was the genial face of the restaurant. He was often seen chatting with visitors, recommending what should they order, sharing anecdotes and cracking jokes.
The restaurant has a very homely, old, and cool atmosphere with lots of customers.
They serve both Indian and Iranian dishes here. We tried the Iranian Zereshk Pulav a.k.a Chicken Berry Pulav it was very delicious. The mix with the masala was also astonishing; the Iranian and Indian mix turned out very cool. The next dish was Chicken Sali which was actually Chicken gravy that I tried with Chapati & White Bread. It exceptionally had sweet, tangy and mild flavours. Then we tried their Chicken Farcha with Potato Straws and Boiled Egg on top, which had a lacy texture and it was very soft and had mild flavours it was truly mouth-watering and excellent. Before serving the food, we also had their Pallonji raspberry soda and ice cream soda which had an amazing taste. The dishes I tried are must-tries if you come here because they are unique.

Very nice video. Serves good Parsi food. But the charges are on the higher side, compared to other Parsi restaurants.

Most of the Parsi/Irani restaurants in ballard estate and fort/fountain areas are fantastic food joints, but sad to say that the owners and staff are the most grouchy lot

Just a suggestion..... please order three dishes individually...like in other food programmes, when there are more than one host.... it's a little wiered watching three people (even though respectfully they're your parents) eating out of the same single leg piece of chicken..... ????? Or for that matter shuffling the dishes around. At the end of the day, you're eating for the wirld to watch, and not a private home meal, right ??? Perhaps a sponsor or two could pick up the tab, if funds are an issue. Seriously.... otherwise deeply appreciated your efforts. By the way, Brittania Café is probably the most overpriced restaurant on the planet...these Iranis in particular, are fleecing and making suckers out of innocent "non-Parsi" people charging 80 Rupees for an age-old 10 buck Pallonji Raspberry and IceCream Soda....which incidentally was pioneered by the great Roger's company in the yesteryear Bombay...(unfortunately closed down and sold decades ago and long before you were born !!!!) and a ridiculous 450 bucks for two pieces of fried "farcha" chicken .....In which case KFC should be charging a 1000 !! And just by the way, those "berries" in that ridiculously over-priced "pulao" are available from nearby Crawford Market and not really Iran and Afghanistan as they con people to believe !!!!! There were and still far better value for money "Bawa" restaurants in Bombay...

Although I understand what you have said about ordering 3 dishes, I as a viewer can appreciate that there's no wastage of food. More importantly I agree with most of what you have said regarding the pricing. I have been enjoying parsi cuisine for at least 25 years from snack shack Jimmy, kayani etc. If the prices are increased further, I may not stop eating there... But I will reduce the frequency. One more issue, kayani is now serving food in paper disposable plates and cups which I think is ridiculous.

I respect your thoughts and critics are most welcome on my channel 👍As you would have seen in the video we had ordered for three different dishes however all of us have not eaten in the same plate but we have shared the food with each other. As a family when we travel around we always order different dishes and like to share our food with each other. Sharing the food is much better than ordering and simply wasting it. I think someone with a good sense of maturity would understand it better. Moreover even if it’s a whole world watching us it doesn’t make a difference as I believe all my viewers and my subscribers are one big family who are watching us and enjoying the content that we create. I like to try different food and share my genuine reviews about the food on my channel. So my friend we will continue to share the food and eat as we travel. Going forward you have the liberty to stop watching our videos. However when you feel you’re thoughts are aligned with us then please feel free to be part of our food journey and experience the best cuisines from all over the world 😁🙏
