I am not looking at a 58ft model, I doubt I would worry about looking at anything else in this class. Gorgeous yacht that ticks more boxes than I have need for. My only gripe, is the owners bed, foot end should be facing a window so you have the perfect sea view sitting up in bed.
I find this cat to be spacious and luxurious, but can one choose to have a larger bed installed in the the owners cabin? I would not be comfortable in a "double bed".
South Africans sure know how to design boats. This is the second company I've seen with a boat I just loved. Great design and colors, very light and airy, wonderful cabins. It would be perfect if it was a power catamaran.
I don't know. I think they just ran out of ideas of what to do with space. There is two lounges, right next to each other. Kinda pointless. Just put the dining table in the forward lounge, and get rid off the back one.
@@srhintz The only thing that differentiates "lounge" from "dining area" is a table. Hence you can use the "dining area" as both. Those tables are movable/removable. Instead the boat looks like an airport terminal. Just couches right next to other couches with more couches. Wasted space.
@@sergeig685 Guess that depends how many people you have aboard. I like the two so you can kick back while others use the table, or maybe have it set up as a birth. I can't remember seeing a lounge that faces forward. That's my favorite aspect of it.
+Leopard Catamaran which model would you recommend for live in world travel and island exploring? Myself, my wife and the odd guests, 2 couples? Based in Denia but sailing to Vietnam then down through all the islands to New Zealand, around to HK and Japan then around the Russian coast to Finland, Sweden etc, across to Greenland and down the US coast to Cuba, Dominican Republic etc to Bahamas.
A really stunning cat, in and out, but I wonder when in bad weather and repeated big waves engulfing the front part with tons of water how the "state of the art" will really empty that fast. We are talking of a huge space with possibly TONS of water getting inside over and over. How quickly can it evacuate all that water? anyone has a clue?
Laurent Froggy if that area gets filled with water that means you are already dead and did not realize. You need to be in the center of a massive storm. I would not worry about the water. It will become a natural Jacuzzi.
You did not really believe that bit about this being a "performance" boat did you? This housboat with a sail was never intended to see rough weather, and very few, if any, of the people that actually buy one will ever ask it do do much more than take a day sail or two between ports in perfect weather.
sweet thing, the amount of water that will fill that area is not nearly enough to sink a boat, the draining holes are above the water line so it will literally just gush out. It seems to m that you don't have the mindset and chain of thought to go out on the ocean if you could not comprehend and logically work through that. Your comment was a real confession of character though and quite big yikes problematic actually. oooof sucks to suck
haha. You made me smile - it's like Phil said ... he's South-African :) The Leopards are built by Robertson & Caine here in the Western Cape (South Africa). We're awesome people with 'funny' accents :)
Beautiful cat and stunning fly bridge. Love the innovation of your 48 too. Have to say the complete lack of any seating in the rear outdoor area is something of a let down. It's almost like you ran out of ideas after the great flybridge and the forward area of the 48. The huge in-floor lockers are a good idea but this is the most protected part of the boat and focus of most attention when at dock. Of all the great ideas I've seen on your boats thus far, this wasn't one of them. Boat looks unfinished. Sorry.
I don't know if the word 'Easily' is accurate. New, this is well appointed at $1.5 M USD, and at that price, you should be able to hire a deckhand for the longer legs. Optimally, Hire two to three for the voyage. Can it be done with very experienced sailors? Yes, but 10-17 days at sea with crazy schedules for midwatch etc takes its toll. I suggest 3 at a min. Just MHO. Fair winds and following seas...
I'm deciding between this Lagoon 58, FP 58 & Privilige Series 6 - Sailing and living aboard 5 months/year.... I prefer Series 6 in nearly every aspect.
michael lippert When you own a cat you don't spend much time in your cabin,,,even though the leopard is smaller it host more space in the entertainment areas !!
6:47 "...it is an investment." LOL really? No boat is ever an investment, they just cost more and more money. That is why BOAT is an acronym that stands for Bust Out Another Thousand. XD
Momo namafg I’m picturing all the IKEA outdoor furniture sliding around in rough seas. By the way, are there anchor points for you to strap down your motorcycle or other large items? I didn’t see that. And is it really feasible to load and unload a motorcycle from the back of this boat? I don’t think so.
If you can effort a boat like that you can order molded furniture or have anchor points for you motorcycle and Ikea furniture, you just pay and leave the imagination to those who make a living doing so !! Your objections are easily solved ,no sweat at all !!
The owner stateroom is so basic with nothing setting it a part from the guest stateroom. The crew cabin is outside access only??!!! No day head either! Now that really sucks and this is supposed to be the flagship? WOW!
Love the 58… but, what’s with the cockpit? Am I the only one who thinks it’s unfinished. Like a massive opportunity wasted. Where is the bench, the lounge, the bar, … it’s just empty. Pity. Everything else is so great about this boat. Love the set up, especially the saloon is amazing. Still. Can’t get over this empty cockpit.
Great Tour, but super disappointed in the 58. The aft and forward cockpit need to be more like the leopard 50. I rather have molded furniture than having to stow extra tables and chairs. Plus the owner's bed is super small. No thanks. Leopard WAS my dream cat, not anymore...
Molded furniture is on the top deck/sky bridge. Why duplicate? The lower deck can be configured for whatever you want. The cats are perfect for social gatherings. You can use it as a dance floor if you want.
dude if you are going to be a presenter, spend a few Euros to fix your teeth. Boat itself is awesome, but we all know its not how good it looks but how well it sails.
Leopard in my opinion have the best distribution and the best interiors. Beautiful.
Cats are just epic. Its like a condo on the water. I love the Leopards
My dream CAT. Went to see one yesterday in Cape Town. Wow wow wow!!!!
Wow, when I become a politician with a Charitable Foundation, I'm going to get one of these !!!

Absolutely beautiful boat in my opinion. 💕
The fly-bridge get my attention. Excellent design Leopard.
Nice. If you think about it, this is just a super fancy and super fast houseboat. 😊
Simplicity is the key. Nailed it .
Quick search.
second hand from 2010 approx 500k. Second hand 2016 1.2milion.
So this thing depreciates over 100k each year?
What a magnificent boat.
Beautiful boat!
truly exquisite interiors and NO brown !
Just absolutely beautiful
back area looks great for housing a motorcycle, noted!
Haha!
guy3090 Now you're talking!
Hells yeah!
Another best of the best video's.
What a gorgeous boat. The boat is too big for me but I love it.
the owner's cabin is only a double? no queen bed? unacceptable for a boat of this size.
wow when I get rich, I'll have to get one of these.
Any luck yet ?
such a beauty
Can i go with the leopard 52 over the atlantic ocean? ??
yes, of course!
Where do I put my PC?

dose it have a dinghy mount

no solar panels?
Those are options.
Lovely. If i only knew how to sail and navigate.
If you have billions of $$$ then you should marry me. And I will take you sailing :)
Just have to learn. Try starting with the American Sailing Association.
Is there air conditioning in the cabins?
you can even have your own sex slave ,,in every cabin a different one !!

Not really an issue. Just look at all the people crossing oceans in storms with no problem. But like any boat you need to stay out of VERY bad storms

Do you offer other design concepts,it looks like a good boat but the interior with all the sharp corners is just wrong for any boat.
Point taken, except all the edges I saw were rounded over.

Well of course the flybridge will be the center of attention because the aft cockpit is bare!
I never liked a fly-bridge... as it requires the main sail to be raised too high an probably a higher mast.
A higher mast demands a broader hull. ...And she does have it.
