I am an electrician and see several electrical videos where someone experienced will explain things in ways only someone also experienced would be able to follow it. Love how this lady breaks things down and explains in way a non experienced person can easy follow. When I have home repairs outside my area of experience, I always watch this lady's videos to learn how to do it right. Keep up the good work. Lot of us out here depend on you and really appreciate you!!

@@seejanedrill is it possible to rethread an existing threaded pipe the say for example I got an outside spigot it's rusted it needs to be rethreaded is that something this tool can do you just put it on and run through it and it might shave it deeper or straighten them up tighten them make them better

I just made it 100.
I watched the whole video, because i wanted to see how to measure the pipe so after threading and tightened the assembly would be the correct length, not covered. I will not give a thumbs down, but i would guess that is the reason.
I guess they didnt like the backing up action lol

I love your channel so much! Thank you for making these videos and sharing your vast knowledge. Working to thread and fit steel pipe always felt too intimidating to try. I felt the same way when I started to learn how to solder copper pipe and crimp PEX pipe. These are FUNdamental skills of how to attach stuff to other stuff to make stuff work.
Thank you for this. I am a master carpenter but I've just never done much of anything with steel. Now, I have some reasons to learn and I'm starting at the very beginning, your clear instructions are exactly what I was hoping to hear.

Outstanding! One of the best DIY videos I've seen, both in terms of content and presentation. You are an excellent teacher.
I'd love to see Leah invite other women in the trades to share their knowledge. See Jane Drill could have a format where Leah introduces and speaks to the guest (on zoom) and then edits together the guest's video of their job with commentary and any necessary interjections/pictures/closeups that Leah thinks are necessary for clarity. There have to be other tradeswomen out there that are eager to share and inspire other women into the trades. We need them!
Women make up up less than 10% of all trades combined. It's not about ability, it's about desire. Most women are not into hard labor/life trades. Look at the ones that are....not the most feminine....

Great demo. Thanks for emphasizing oil, oil, oil and occasional reversing to keep shavings cleared out. Also, of I ever made a video to do this, I would give you full credit for showing me how to do it.

I just want to thank you for this video. I had a broken overhead sprinkler pipe in my yard (from and old orchard) and needed to thread it in order to cap it. I watched the video, drove to HD and rented the die kit and threaded that pipe. Problem solved with $20, time and a little gas. Thank you Leah.

I brag constantly about this channel. So informative about so many different topics.
Lea I tackle many of my own projects at home. Last year while restoring my father's old craftsman push mower I had to rethread some if the nuts and bolts. I can't believe how simple you make things. I was winging it and did a decent job, but your oiling procedure is something I didn't do enough. After seeing your video I'm sure I wasn't too kind on the tap and die set because I only oiled it once. I did back out often as the kit I bought mentioned the shavings.
I just wanted to tell you what a delight you are to watch. You explain things so thoroughly and simply. Your explanations keep us hanging on every word. There is no Fast forwarding needed on your videos, everything you say is important and to the point. You are doing a great job teaching us so many things. You inspire me!

No idea how I got here, but now I want to go thread a bunch of spare pipe laying around! Not only that, but I've had numerous pipe cutters in my life (for hobby stuff - I have no clue what I'm doing) but I always wondered what that fold-out triangle was used for...
