I’m near Spartanburg and it still hasn’t rained. My raised beds are rough but that’s because they’re so high off the ground that they’re drying out. I hope we get rain tonight.
You make me want to add a water feature to my yard. My mother has been asking me to do a frog pond or a dragonfly pond. Maybe I will.
Keep your videos coming. Years will pass fast.
I’m getting rid of all my stonefruit because of the maggots. I see that you have pawpaw and persimmon already and I think that’s very wise for this climate.
I also started with 4 hens and it was the perfect number. I’ve had chickens for 3 years now and they’re still healthy and well. I finally added a rooster because I know I’ll need to replace some birds.
I can’t wait to see your progress over the next couple years. You have a great outlook and personality for it.
If we can get more people to do this, we can help to cool our own localized climate.
For example, it’s too hot to walk down my neighborhood during the day. But if the entire road was covered from oaks, you’d have a lot more people outside.
I love Beaufort SC traveling down Sheldon Church Rd. The entire road is beautiful and under canopy

Wow, thank you! I grew up in the Lowcountry so oak covered streets are definitely and inspiration. I didn’t mention, but right beside our habitat sign is a baby live oak I planted to give shade to future generations on this street.
