    I am so moved, I have tears welling. You make me want to say 'You are the true voice of the next generation." Declare you The Bard of our times, the New Shakespeare or Homer. None of that does you justice, because you are so bright and new... a falling star, a hopeful glimpse of awakening humanity, the possibility. Human, being. Thank you more then you can ever know, you have awoken something like the quiet memory of fierce lightning in me and now I can only hear your tones and think in poetry... and Hold my Own.

      start to watch this at about 3:13 and put the instrumental from "one day" (vandaag) behind it in another tab. It fits perfectly.

    Left speechless and without words to express the untouched, hidden and well protected depths within me this poetry has touched and opened. I am only half way through listening.
    More than awesome, better than best. What a start to my day.
    I thank Kae Tempest for all that she gives to my heart and soul and to humanity.

    off the top of the d o m e. i don't remember many of my birthdays but i won't forget this one, the hour i spent in the 3rd row watching kate tempest recite an entire book of her poetry from memory to an audience so captivated it didn't want to blink or even draw breath, but just stare back at her entranced.

    I can't think of a comment to write after watching you, I feel that I will not be able to put the words together to express how brilliant you are.
    Thank you Kate for everything. :)

    This is one of the very few moments I watch a play or a performance and sit still, unable to move. All the tension released at the end. It happens only with Kae Tempest, Nick Cave and in theatre.

    Every time I hold a high expectation based on how good you are, you absolutely SMASH it! Completely completely in awe of this set, so beautiful! I want to say I'm speechless but that seems unfair given the amazing show of what language can do that you have just provided. Just utterly incredible that you a voice alone could hold my attention for a solid hour and inspire at the same time.

    • @ZaphMann
      @ZaphMann 8 років тому +1

      +Iain Robb Oh, maybe, I don't know her background. I do know when I first tried reading poetry, prose etc... out loud to audiences I took on the stagey voice i thought I should have, with all the inflections I'd picked up from famous poets/actors. Also I once worked in close quarteres with 3 Scoucers and was talking 'scouse' with false accent involunterily.
      So I don't know if you're right, probably are. But still then she's 'getting in character', it's a performance, and it's mostly stunning content, don't you think?
