Sasha is probably the first actress ever to play a character older than their actual age. This has to be a first for Hollywood!
Shows tend to cast adult actors even for high school roles, for the simple reasons that there are regulations of how much minors can work. It wasn't much of a problem with Sasha though since she mostly appeared in flashbacks for the first three and a half seasons anyway.

Lol what you said is soo not true. There is a HUGE age gap between her and the girls and it's not like they don't like her it's just that their relationship is not that strong because they are 7-10 years older.
All of her friends are older she said her self. So that's not the reason.
