I am so encouraged by your clear explanation of the limited number of things to worry about! I am a true beginner and water color seems like there's a universe of things I should know how to do. So you breaking it down into just a certain number of things to worry about, really makes me feel better! I still stink at this, but I am encouraged! Thank you so much. I love your process.
IT WAS THAT BEAUTIFUL LIZARD BEHIND YOU, THAT GOT ME TO YOUR CHANNEL, AND I'M THANKFUL I'M HERE. YOU ARE AMAZING, AND YOUR TEACHING IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. I THINK I CAN SPEAK FOR US ALL WHEN I SAY... THANK YOU, FOR BEING YOU.
Can’t wait for bunny! Your lessons are so much fun and I am learning so much, even though my painting skill needs a lot of work! I am just so slow. I seem to use the pause button a lot! Love your classes I am so appreciative that you are sharing your great talent. Thank you!
Wow! I've been painting for a couple of years and never really understood the descriptions of milk and tea when referring to paint. Your descriptions are so good and I can understand !! I'm excited to try your methods! Thank you so much !!
I am really enjoying your class. I believe you are a natural instructor. So many other classes I’ve taken are intimidating because they make me feel that I should be at a “fine artist” level after only a few lessons. You made me feel comfortable from day one. So kudos to you. I do have a few tips to pass on 1) you mentioned using a pen to add more detail (aside from other tools you have covered), but any other art supply such as gel pens, colored pencils, gouache, etc. can be used as long as you know if they will play well with water. Some can only be used when you have completed the watercolor portion of your art. 2) I love masking fluid. I struggled finding a good way to apply it. I discovered there is a tool called an Art Ruling Pen that is made for the job. You can easily adjust your line width and application and you won’t waste masking fluid. Check it out on Amazon. I got it for $6.99 including two rubber erasers.
Ah, cats, for me the paintings may be a gift to help fund raise for our local cat shelter that a city worker provides... may you find what you are wanting.

Sometimes you just need to feel a little encouragement! Happy painting and thank you!

Hello from Ontario, CANADA!
Hello! So glad you're joining in from Canada!
Your light side/dark side schema is an excellent way of managing value to create a dynamic and vivid image.
It has made the biggest difference in my portraits!

I'm here cause I'm a dyslexic pc enthusiast who read watercooler.
Those cats drive me crazy! Sorry but I have to unsubscribe.
That's too bad because the content of what she is saying is excellent. I'm glad I'm getting all this great info.

I guess we can't all be cat people!
