版画の板は朴木でしたねえぇ 今はどうか知りませんがゴムとか合板もあったなぁ・・・一昔前ですか！ ねこねこは一昔前の人間です（笑）刀の鞘 なるほど 思い当たります。
朴木で物を作るのが好きだったなぁ・・・切り味がいいんですよ！ ノスタル爺です。
確かに肌が黄緑がかってますね。いい感じ！
木蓮の仲間で香りも良いとか、ホウバ味噌も名高い 使い道の多いい優秀な木！きりしまさんでは花は見ないでしょうが、いい花のようで私も見てみたい。飲み食いだけが趣味の漢でもないのです（笑）

ねこねこさんはお花もたしなまれるのですね☆（笑）
直接見るともっと濃い色だったのですが、画面上ではその色合いが今ひとつ伝わらない映りにになってしまっていました。素朴な色合いは光の加減で左右されますね。もっとリアルに体感してもらえるように、ねこねこさんの求道心を見習って研究します！

Nice wood with oil on it i bet the green color really comes out it looks like some hibiscus ive seen in wood carvings from Bali.

The colour and texture remind me of tulip poplar seen in the eastern USA.

When you cut the Magnolia, does it have a fragrance, like Cedar has, or Walnut? Domo 🤓 this next question may sound strange, but in Japan (or Japanese), when you first cut a log, and the patterns, veins, shapes are seen, do you look for (or see) the tree within the tree? Domo sir

Air dry and sell it!

Basically, we buy our own logs, saw them, dry them, and then sell them.
There are times when we are only asked for lumber, but it is rare.
Natural drying is more expensive, but it takes time to make money.
