I have a Giant Roam 3 disc that I commute to work everyday...13 miles round trip. Plus I do 20 mile rides with a cycling group every Saturday. Very good bike. Can't beet the quality for the price.

I have 2017 roam 1 . It is a great bike . I have just a few tiny little problems . I have chafing marks on the stem tube where brake lines and gear cables rub . My other bikes don't have the same problem with the cables chafing the paint off . The front shocks also leak a tiny bit . Perhaps the viscosity of the hydraulic fluid is too thin . The nickel chrome plated section of the shock has more hydraulic fluid on it than my other bikes . I have to wipe off them more often . Is this a manufacturers defect or has it been designed that way .

Huh! That's interesting. Definitely worth taking that in to your local bike shop to get it looked at. It's definitely not meant to do that...

What, exactly, is the difference between the Roam 1 and Roam 2? Is there a significant difference?

Hi hammill444,
The Roam 1 Disc 2017 has Shimano Deore, whereas the Roam 2 Disc 2017 is fitted with Altus/Acera which is just a lower-quality groupset.
The Roam 1 is also a 10 speed, whereas the Roam 2 is 9 speed.
Other than that, not a huge amount!
