Dear Nick, Thank you very much for passing by our restaurant. We were very pleased for having you all and that you've enjoyed the Zurrata experience. Looking forward to see you again. Greetings from Santa Luzia
If you like good food fish, meat anything...it taste better in Algarve 🫶. You have long beaches, ocean, clear waters, gentle people and ☀️ sun all the year with amazing temperatures also in winter🌴🐬🐟🐠
Wow, sounds like the place for octopus. When you first flew over the anchors my first thought was it was a tribute to their past, but now it is even better. Thanks for the history lesson. Seems like a place to go
All the years we've been winter vacationing in the Algarve, we have never been through this little town. Which, doesn't seem quite so little by the way. On your drive through you drove past at least a couple of dozen restaurants and bars. Thanks for this intro video to Santa Luzia👍
Agreed ! Bolt works better here than Uber ! (sometimes the Uber drivers decline your request , even three or four minutes after they have accepted it ! ) 🤬
it is nice to see your videos with all the nice information about tuna fisherman , the population and visit some of those beautifull places before , i pass a great days this year in vacations in lagoa , armação de pera and poço barreto and i see the beaches with a lot of plastic , rests of cigarrete , botles , etc . , we need to have more respect for the nature !! and the beaches with a lot of algae and some places the sea it is almost covered with algae , the people and the cameras/state needs to act faster with more cleaness especially close to restaurants , coffes where the paper toals , plastic , glass of broken botles goes to nature , so it is a general work and all need to make your own part , nice to see your familly to , all the best .
I've always been fascinated by those massive anchors... but I've got very real visceral reaction to octopus... so I'm not sure it's a good idea for me to visit. :) Great little video, obrigada Nick. It's always nice to see your family :)
Wonderful video Nick-as always. We’re familiar with Santa Luzia so always a pleasure to see your perspective-in particular I enjoyed the historical overview. 👍🏻 We passed by Santa Luzia (sadly without stopping) from Tavira on the way to visit Pedras de-El Rei and Praia do Barril-by bus 🚌. {I don’t think I’m the one that insists you can travel by bus but we wanted to see how much we can do from Tavira without a car}. Not having a rental car would limit us to dining in Santa Luzia during midday as the frequency of bus service is rather limited. Of course, we always run out of time so the excellent polvo 🐙 will have to wait for our next trip. Thank you again for your video! 👋🏻
The bus service from Tavira to Santa Luzia used to be inexpensive, particularly when you could buy a carnet of ten trips for about 14 Euros but it is much much more expensive now and if two of you are traveling there really isn't that much difference between the bus and a shared cab which you can easily pick up from by Tavira Station, for example.
Thank you for this video. Looks like a great place to unplug and slow down. Any supply issues with electricity (like power outages), internet (slow speeds), or fresh water (are they on well water, desalination or are there pipes connecting to other regions). Just curious - sorry, I'm kinda fascinated with infrastructure ...
Dear Nick,

We've been staying in this wonderful mini town for years every May for a month
Definitely going to book this restaurant this weekend, thanks Nick.
Tell them you saw the restaurant on UA-cam! They're lovely there, very friendly and nice 👍🏼 Enjoy!
That octopus looked amazing. Nice job Nick 🙌
Not for me, but it certainly is a delicacy 😁
Zurrata in Santa Luzia has the best octopus à Lagareiro in the area, among other very fine main courses 🍽
So much to see down there hey. I would love to explore those little towns. It'll have to wait til next years shoulder seasons.
Thank you for highlighting this town. Spent two weeks exploring around Tavira this year. This is on the list for next trip

You're welcome Janys 👍🏼
Whenever we're in Tavira we grab a Bolt to this great town and feast on the local delicacy. Don't miss it!
Go for Bolt ⚡ 😁

What a cool little town. I wish I knew about it when we were staying in Tavira, would have definitely went to dinner there. Next trip!
Octopus is my FAVORITE seafood!!!
I'm coming to Algarve in November and going to santa Luzia just for that!😂
Enjoy it!
Thank you Nick! Your videos hit the spot! We're looking at relocating in about 5 years (God willing) We'll likely reach out!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoy them.
The Polvo restaurant (on the waterfront ) has recently eased their prices up.
It still excellent value and taste though !
Superb video Nick
Cheers Max

Thank you Alberto. I'm planning a sardine video based in Portimão, exciting things ahead :)
Beautiful place! We’ve cycled there from Cabanas many times. 🤩
How long does it take you?

Cheers Jen, is it an allergic reaction? I don't know people were allergic to octopus.
We will be returning there at the end of September. Can't wait...
Enjoy!

Thanks for watching as always! What bus info service do you use?

@@AlgarveAddictsHi Nick-I sent you an email with some links. Cheers.
What a beautiful little town and not far from Tavira. Can you get there by bike from Tavira?
Absolutely, there is actually a lovely bike path which isn't that common in the Algarve.
Not too many places in the states so clean from hotels. It's usually crowded.

Sorry Jonnie, I have no idea, but I did meet someone who lived there. I'll ask her if I ever see her again.
@@AlgarveAddicts No worries; just curious. Enjoy your week.
No issues with electricity, proper piped water (no desalination yet) and 5G everywhere.
@@miguelrecio7464 ...awesome. Thank you.
