    I have a question. Hopefully, you can provide an explanation. I am using the Debra 4 channel Wireless Microphone set. It includes the 4 headset bundle and the receiver hub. When we ampifly the volume to get more gain, there is a fairly loud white noise/static that is constant. It is for sure coming from the receiver, but we are not sure why. Could this be a channel frequency issue? Note: The 4 mics are not far from the receiver when in use. 15 feet tops.

    • @ProAcoustics
      @ProAcoustics 4 місяці тому

      Hi Gilbert, it could be a frequency issue, so if you have additional frequencies available, try switching to others. If the problem persists, it might be a gain issue causing the noise and/or distortion. If you're unable to resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for model-specific tech support. Best of luck!

    I stumbled across this video while searching for a solution for my issue. Maybe you can help me with it. I have an AKG Ultra High Frequency wireless mic set up. It works fine, but when I turn the microphone off at the microphone, there is all kinds of static and popping going through the speakers. Also, if I leave the microphone on for very long (over 2 minutes) the sound no longer transmit (we cannot hear it through the speakers). Once I turn the microphone off (at the mic) I get the static and popping noise again. I've changed batteries in the mic, so that's not the issue. Any idea as to what is causing this popping noise?

    I am the sole man for my church. My biggest problem is that the microphone picks up too much breathing noise and it sounds like a deep WOOOFF, and the plosives like Bs, Ps and Ts create a wind impact on the mic and create a loud BOOM. I have greatly mitigated this by covering the mic with a piece of rolled up felt and covering the whole thing with a lapel windscreen. This has helped a lot but it’s still not perfect. The problem now is that the big black windscreen sticks out too much in video. The pastor wears the lapel in the same position about the same height as you do in the video. Any solutions or ideas? Thank you!

      @ProAcoustics Рік тому

    Hey there! I'm the tech director at a church here in Augusta. We have 3 shure PSM300 receivers for our IEM's two sennheiser XS wireless receivers, one sennheiser UHF receiver, one audio technica UHF receiver, and two Audio technica 2.4GHz receivers. All of this equipment is before my time, I understand it's kind of cobbled together. We're having issues with mics dropping out and feedback problems. All the transmitters are within 15-20 feet of the receivers but are not within line of sight. There is a drum kit and some plexiglass separating everything. I'm curious to know what you think would be the best path forward. I've been thinking of getting a frequency manager to relocate the Shure IEM antennas to be within line of sight. Out of the 6 other receivers we have (4 handheld mics and two body pack countryman's), The AT UHF receiver is the only one with a BNC connector. Would it be worthwhile getting a spectrum analyzer to set up the frequencies with purpose? Relocate the antennas with BNC connectors, relocate the receivers with the hard wired antennas to be line of sight? Trash the mics that weren't even meant for a professional application?

      Hi there! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your microphone. Here are a few things you can check:
      1. Signal Lights: Your receiver might have signal lights that show if the microphone is communicating with the receiver. Make sure these lights are on.
      2. Gain Controls: Try turning up any gain controls on your receiver to ensure you're getting a signal.
      3. Receiver Output: Check the output connection of your receiver. The cable might be shorted or disconnected. If possible, replace it with a new one to see if that helps.
      4. Transmitter Mute: Double-check that the transmitter isn't on "mute."
      If these steps don't resolve the issue, I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your wireless microphone for further technical support. They should be able to assist you more thoroughly. Best of luck, and I hope you get it working soon!

    • @ProAcoustics
      @ProAcoustics Рік тому

      When we hear "screeching," we assume you are referring to a feedback occurrence from when the microphone is too close to a speaker or monitor. Try repositioning the mic placement further away from the speakers. You might also need to adjust the output and equalization of the mic to mitigate this aspect. - The battery is weak, especially if using rechargeable ones

The presenters are always within 50ft direct line of sight of the receiver. I've tried using different xlr chords so its not the cables, and tried using 1 in the mix all out and tried using 2 in 'a&b' and 'c&d' outs so I don't think it's a bad output cause they all had the issue. I've tried all the mics on separate channels and still dropouts. The only thing I haven't tried is lowering the input gain control using the screwdriver on the microphone itself. Would there be any other solution?

      make sure the receiver is set at eye level. I know its difficult but having the antenna at eye level is good because people, metal, brick and mortar helps interference which causes drop outs. It doesnt matter if the units are 1/2 wave or 1/4 wave, it really depends on the environment.

    my cat chewed the antenna can that cause feedback?

    • @ProAcoustics
      @ProAcoustics Рік тому

      That is unlikely to be the cause of any feedback. Feedback is usually caused by the microphones proximity to a speaker.

    What about a crackling kind of sound that goes in and out? What would be the things to check for when having that problem?

    • @ProAcoustics
      @ProAcoustics 2 роки тому +1

      Hi there! You might check the following.
      1. Make sure that your antennas are securely attached.
      2. Check that your cable from the receiver to your mixer/speaker does not have a short.
      3. Make sure that you don't have a short circuit inside your bodypack or handheld.
      If none of those steps resolve your issue, you might try another wireless frequency on your receiver/transmitter to see if you were experiencing RF interference.
      I hope this helps and that you can get your issue resolved!

    I have the saramonic Blink500 Pro B2 and I noticed that during the recording session the audio broke up several times. It was minimal but this is the first time that ever happened. The distance between receiver and transmitter was around 10ft or less. The only reason that might cause the problem was that the talent put the transmitter in his pocket. What do you guys think?

      Hi there, For the best and most unimpeded transmission, it is always best to keep the Bluetooth transmitter and receiver in "line of sight" to each other.
