God damm. I was so sick of vlookup. When I really need to do vlookup, it backfires. But this method is working for me even when vlookup is not. Thanks man. Your are a legend.
You just saved me so much time. This is so much easier than repetitive VLookups. Your video was excellent - clear and concise. I can't thank you enough!
I couldn't follow those vlookup videos to save my life. Watching this video was 9 minutes well spent. Thank you so much! You're an excellent instructor.
Excellent! I had raw SQL data stored in several different tables from a relational database that I needed to join into one table based on two specific ID columns. I'm not an SQL programmer, so didn't know how to put it together in SQL. But this video got me to my solution in Excel after importing each table as separate worksheets via CSV. Very appreciative. Good work!
Thanks VM for this video, it got me on the right path. After trying for almost 30 mins on the Query option, I had to move it back to the worksheet. I started messing with VLOOKUP function as you did in this video also, but then came across XLOOKUP function, that worked like a charm for what I was doing. Again big thumbs up man you got me on the right path when I was lost on this one.😀
I don't normally comment on UA-cam videos, but thank you so much! I've been needing to merge a number of datasets in work and this is perfect. I was worried about having to do loads of vlookups lol!!
omg thank you! the way you teach is impeccable, it's like you're in my mind and know exactly what I need to know and the process of how to do it!!! amazing. thanks so much!
I must say this was straight to the point, not of lot of unnecessary talking, because sometimes that can be distracting and HELPFULLLLLLLLLL ❤❤❤❤ thank you for creating
Please how do you merge the different csv data into one file that will import all at once, because mine is just importing one data at a time instead of all
Great video thanks!! One question, if I wanted to merge to colums with data and I want the two colums added up together; is there anyway to put a formula in it? So, instead of adding up first and last name, two colums of data?
Thank you very much for your video! Although I tried to do this in some smaller files and it worked when I am trying to do it with 2 large files the following error message appears "we were unable to determine how many matches the selection will return". What can I do to solve it? Thank you very much!
Wow, it was amazing, but that would be way better to put the files below the video as a link so that we can download it and repeat the same thing that you did. Many thanks again for this fruitful and productive video.
Do the two columns that you are merging from separate spreadsheets need to have the exact same column name if someone has named them differently in the separate files? Thanks

😀 You can actually connect directly to your SQL server in Excel, that way you wouldn't even have to import anything.
This is SUCH an improvement over 2013. Doing this sort of table merge used to be a special sort of torture.... Thank you for posting this!
