I wanna see a blind taste test featuring a range of like 5 pies he’s already done and see if he ranks them even close. I bet not.
He's done a bunch of blind taste test guesses before on other food. Chips and chicken sandwiches. I think a couple others
Tammy Sanders oh yeah I’ve seen those - the fruit loops was funny but nothing tops his burger one when he said Burger King was trash. “That’s poor people sh*t”. Lol. I meant I don’t think he’d be consistent with his previous pizza reviews.
Thomas I mean think about it though. On one day the pizza could be better or more to his liking. Could be better or worse than the day he reviewed it
balal zaman yeah that’s true. But they should be close? Any place is making their dough and sauce about the same - typical fermentation time would be similar too meaning the biggest variation would probably be the baking and that’s almost noticeable from the appearance and texture. Either way I’d be curious to see a Johns of bleeker go up against like a rizzos or lombardis and then one or two 7.4 pies at the same time and see if he could tell the difference. I don’t think his pallet and reviews are as consistent as he thinks. I doubt he could tell which is Johns of Bleeker and which is Johns of Times Square.
Thomas good point, the process should be the same if not very close. I’d be interested in watching a video like that for sure

I just went back and watched the John's of Bleeker video and you changed the score 3 times. You really need to go do a new review there now that you've tried hundreds of other pizza places

@@raha1277 I live in Sussex bruh. Open up a dictionary my friend. The definition for "Homely" is plain and simple but pleasant. That is referring to an environment... not the characteristics of a person. I'm not disagreeing that the word homely cannot be used to describe an ugly person I've used it that way myself. But I've also heard homely used to describe a simple but cozy cottage for instance. There's two definitions for the same word. Yeah homey has a similar meaning but it doesn't take away from the fact that homely is in the dictionary under the way I'm using it. Open your minds

You basically have a 5 point system 5 - 10. 5 is shit and 10 is unobtainable. An average slice is 7’ish. 9’ish is the best. You only use 1-4 as being spiteful and dramatic - it isn’t a real score.

John’s on Bleeker isn’t even the highest rated review given on this show but Prez acts like it’s the best... he gave a half cold slice from Brooklyn a 9.4, I think he also gave their grandma slice a 9.4 too....

For me Johns is a hit or miss. Used to live only a few minutes away from here and would order often. Once the pizza was so soggy that the actual box tore from being wet. However, their smaller pies are better and I personally really liked their vodka sauce.

A case of you can't handle quality control in multiple locations. More importantly, Manhattan John's water is from upstate springs, that's the key difference. Jersey water is nasty making for an inferior 🍕👎

Jersey pizza can be good, but it’s never great. It’s the water. NY sucks, but we still have great water and that’s what makes the crust. That looked like a nice pie though.

My new favorite thing is watching his reactions to the bit and trying to guess the score. After watching like 100 of these, I have him down pretty good. Knew he was going with a 7.6.

Damn that shit looked Goooooooooooood. Perfectly charred bottom (undercarriage), nice color on the cheese. Looked crispy af. Only thing I couldn't tell was the flavor of the cheese/sauce. But I guess it was bland, cause just going by looks alone that pizza deserved an 8.1 at the very least. Ohhh well.
