This video was right up my alley. I was that neighborhood kid who always brought discarded toys and junk home to see if my dad would help me fix them up or make new things out of the pieces. We spent hours in his shop every weekend while my little sister learned how to cook, clean and stay inside with the a/c.
Loving the restoring Conky. I’m always amazed at the before & after comparison. It’s so sad that they just don’t make toys like they use to, so thankyou for restoring in spite of today’s throw away society. Nice touch when your previous restoration project, ‘The Firestone Truck’ delivers & removes the jeep tyres. Awesome job Conky, the restored Tonka Jeep looks brilliant. 👍💕😎
Kudos Conky! This Jeep came out amazing. Well you told us you were going to use your Firestone truck to bring the tires & you really did. I loved it. It’s awesome to watch grown men still playing with their Tonka toys. Now I’m going to watch AA. Have a great night. Hi Noreen👋
Fantastic restoration, I was absolutely mesmerised by the restoration and the wonderful filming, which makes the whole video. You have the filming spot on. Can't wait for the next one. Uk
Amazing Video! Conky, you are a true master! Congrats on a job very well done! I appreciate your attention to detail, and the obvious passion you have for the work! Can't wait to see the next one!
Ahhh the long awaited 2nd restoration video. Amazing work. If I might make a suggestion, I think that adding shots of your equipment (sand blaster, oven, paint chamber, etc) just before putting the pieces in would be great (especially for new viewers that don't already know the equipment by heart). Great video Conky. & Noreen for keeping the man fed.
Wow, that came out great! This is my first video of yours I've watched, and I didn't think I would sit and watch the whole thing. You are a master at what you do, an artist, looks better then it did new off the shelf. It was really cool to see behind the curtain, I've always wondered how much time and effort goes into restoring something like that. How much does a restoration cost on something like that, and what's it worth now? I understand that this is not only a hobby and something you really enjoy doing, but I think It's also a way for you to put food on the table. In the long run what I'm actually trying to ask is, can you pay the bills with doing this, or is it more of a hobby with a little spending cash on the side? Awesome resto though! Now that this ones done, I have a full sized car that needs some work done. 😁
Thanks for watching Robert. The restoration of this jeep involved spending more on the parts than I could ever hope to sell the jeep for. It's just too common and therefore has little value to begin with. The Firestone truck I restored before this one is very rare and probably worth about 4 times what I spent on it, but once I restore a toy I find myself wanting to keep it.
Luv the end credits where u had Noreen as craft services and Roxy the background barker 🤣🤣🤣
Great video, Conky is the RESTORATION KING!
and I did NOT pass out!! :-)

Awesome, I can’t believe that’s the same seats everything
I was tempted to just buy another interior for $10 on eBay, but that would have been a rip-off to the viewers. :-)

Conky, would that stuff come off a bit easier if you soaked it in some Epson salts first?
Don't know. I'll have to try it next time. :-)
How do you know when something is so bad it's not worth going thru restoration process??
When it crumbles in my hand, it's not going to make it through the restoration process. :-)
Conky u need to talk in them tell us what u doing
Wouldn't want to ruin it by talking over the video. :-)
