TRT literally changed my life man! Confidence through the roof, libido back, anxiety is basically nonexistent and most importantly my energy is through the roof
Thank you guys! What a great great podcast! So much information! Jay is awesome!
He said HCG is worthless, but didn't say what is the alternative for people who are on TRT and want to have kids.
This Jay fella should write a book!
Bravo! Hell of an interview !
When I click on a video to get some info and it takes 10 mins to get into the topic of the video, that’s an automatic fail.
Agreed, but patience is a virtue in this scenario
I have a lot of respect for Jay Campbell but I get the sense that if new science refuted what his book may say he isn’t willing to consider it or change his position. The thing about Science is that it evolves with new data. We are continually learning. Every single days studies are occurring. Also one study isn’t a hole in one. It takes many studies that are able to reproduce similar results that truly matter.
HRT has helped me immensely and I owe it to people like Jay that have people this info out. I just think it’s necessary to be open to change. Plus we shouldn’t demonize regular doctors or medical experts that don’t see things our way. They are just taught or not taught a certain fact. It doesn’t make them sub human.
I am sending you a bill for blowing out my computer desktop speakers.
When I started TRT, My Estrogen level was 87. What do you do when your estrogen is already dangerously high even without TRT?
Microdosing every day sub Q injections. It will bring it way down.
There are many perspectives but there's one God one Truth. You either seek It or you don't. Many go in spurts. I've found nothing more full of Truth than Orthodox Christianity.

You guys are talking total T levels but what about free T? I have high total T naturally but my free T is very low.
I am about to start testosterone for my anxiety and depression (my levels are at the lower end of normal). Just hypothetically, is it possible to discontinue Testosterone administration if it has no positive effect after maybe 2 or 3 months without messing up my hormonal balance permanently? Glad for every help I can get.
Yes you can discontinue testosterone. People come off TRT when trying for kids. I just don't see why you would want to come off. You lucky really Dr's just shot antidepressants at me for years. Doesn't make sense for low t. Good luck Hope you feel better . You should do TRT better than antidepressants or anxiety medication. I would give it more than 3 months make sure right dose. Try B12 injection that can help as well.
@@paulharvey5362 Thanks for your answer. I havent began taking Testosterone, my doctor wouldnt prescribe it either as my levels are about 550. But I am considering doing it myself as my condition is miserable due to anxiety and depression. No success with medication, psychotherapy, ect, sports, diet, meditation. How do you feel about testosterone pellets for delivery system?
I loved them. Better sexual function by far. But can’t get them since COVID. Going to injection per my doc.
Hello Ben I need to get my total testosterone levels within 700 to 800. My Dr. just finally allowed me to go from 200mg every 2 weeks to 2x divided dosages per week. He has me at 60mg 2x per week and I was wondering what this dosage would put me at total T wise. Again I am hoping to get around 800 at the high point. Thanks.
Jay,
That's too high. Find another doctor. You should always start low. Some of the best docs are starting people as low as 50 or 60 total per week.
I wouldn't do over 80-100 mg per week for 6 weeks then re check.
The guesstimate is total weekly mgx8= TT
@@chironow3446 Thanks for your response.. After a month of 100mg per week
divided in 2x 50mg doses I was at 1340 total T. My Dr was an idiot and kept telling me to do 200mg every 2 weeks even though my estrogen was through the roof and I felt like crap. Just got a new Dr that immediately told me to drop to daily dosages of 7mg subconsciously, or as I opted for convenience. 25mg 2x a week subconsciously. I can't stress to people reading this that starting high and tapering down is an awful experiance. Do you have an idea of roughly what 50mg a week can provide high low total Testosterone wise? I seriously couldn't believe my numbers were so high at 100mg a week. I want to try to be between 600 and 800 total T. Then find my sweet spot.
Jay Bourbon whatever dose you do I would highly recommend doing every other day injections. Daily is better, but it does become a hassle that’s why I settled on every other day. I’ve been on trt for about 15 years and done all kinds of protocols. Every other day is the way to go in my opinion. That’s for injections. I am very interested in doing the cream on the scrotum though.
@@dlindo8892 Hello and thanks for the response. What dosage do you find is your feel spot? What total T level does your dosage yield? I'm going to give the EOD injections a try.. Thanks in advance!
Jay Bourbon once you find your sweet spot. Can you come off trt and stay at that spot?
Unfortunately since Jay has started to promote all sorts of pseudoscience I no longer recommend anything from him as you can no longer trust he is evidence based, even with TOT. Luckily the doctors who used to talk to him who are evidenced based have moved on to the Lifting Dermatologist channel and even more.

I’ve got a BMI past the morbidly obese line and I’ve been working like crazy to drop body fat through diet and exercise. Went to my doc and had my T tested. 3 blood tests. All low. Couldn’t even get myself moving before. Started TRT a week ago, and I’m eating super clean, doing cardio and lifting every single day. Energy levels have been way up after only 5 days. Am concerned about the BMI, but I’m working hard to bring it down. Anybody else with a high BMI have any experience with TRT?
He says and you say we need to lose body fat first before getting our levels tested but if your testosterone levels are low and your estrogen levels are high then your ability to lose body fat is greatly diminished if not impossible..
That's where fasting comes into play. Intermittent fasting for beginners, and once you level out the Ghrelin hormone (hunger), then you will be able to pull off a 48 hour fast.
@@spaulding304 Sounds like a lot of work. I'd rather just take a couple shots a week and be done with it. I do agree with you though on the fasting. It is I believe a viable possible tool to get the body tuned alternatively.
It certainly is harder
@@snakedietdan and it doesn't end. It's not like well I intermittent fasted now I'm done and my hormones are now good. @@et9120 how much you taking. They want to start me at 0.45 twice a week 200mg of cypionate
Only thing I have to say about "Don't be Fat"......what happens even if you made it through puberty and you were low T at age 17 ? Sort of like me....I looked like a pregnant female at age 19. Didn't matter how much I worked out. I had a brief stint at age 24-25 where I did get somewhat lean; but I was ridiculously busy to the point of absolute exhaustion and living on 8+ cups / coffee a day and eating about half of my food strait from a garden that I worked in 3 hours a day ;7days a week. It was not a sustainable work out load with a full time job and I probably still had a total T of 450 at that age.....which is not great for a man at age 24. And I still probably had a BMI of 18 at my absolute lowest fat level in my life.
Did you seek help?
Something tells me you’re not being honest about the effort you were truly putting in
@@tylergreen2766 I can't post pics....but why the apparent "hostility" about my potential lack of honesty. I can tell you I did things from ages 13 to 19 that probably destroyed my hormone levels (i.e. weekend binge drinking, smoking pot, taking antidepressants, opioids and the like). That probably set me up for a downhill hormonal profile even though I cleaned myself up from age 19 on and ate better and tried to work out more often. I was not a couch Potatoe in my 20's. Once testosterone plummets, you can work out all you want and still make only infinitesimal gains in your workouts.
Jesus Christ is Lord. He is the ONLY way. Good luck on your journey and God Bless
Such nonsense.
I'm glad I watched this. I am going in for my first round of TRT next week. I'm going to do the pellet injection (BioTE program). The doctor did, in fact, mention an estrogen blocker as simply part of the protocol. The labs are done through Labcorp so obviously, they are setting the "standard range" for estrogen upon which the doctor is most likely just blindly following as the standard protocol. I will opt to not use any estrogen blockers and monitor how I'm feeling. I work out daily both resistance and cardio. I eat correctly. My current level of testosterone is 375 at age 47. My TRT doc tells me she wants me at between 900 and 1200. I found this video quite informative. As a bodybuilder, I am interested in the correct way to train and I'll take a look at your other videos to see if I can gain more insight into that area as well. Great channel. Sub'd.
Michael you have not done your homework. pellet therapy is literally thee worst delivery system for tot. Frequent injections or cream are really your only 2 options
@@mattmason4589 Well that's why I'm here! To learn. Just out of curiosity, why are pellets so ineffective as opposed to the other two methods?
Michael Injections will always be more effective and have more consistent delivery than any other message. Crazy to see you’re at 375 at 47. I’m in between 315 and 370 consistently at 25 and this is supposed to be considered “normal”
Two things that matter your free testosterone and your syptoms.A good doctor basis his protocol on these numbers.Pellets are only good for people that cant get to the doctor if you travel abroad or are deployed ect.Its just not an efficient delivery.IM is the way to go.

ALL DAY LONG x's 3. On TRT i can give blood every other week. But Hey, they used to use BLOOD LETTING as a form of medical treatment. Cant be all bad...
You have to donate blood every 4 months to bring hemoglobin and hematocrit levels to a normal range.
The guardian interesting, where do you get this info from about donating will keep our levels in check
Another thing thats genetic here... some are prone and some are not. Most who have their dose dialed should not have issues. Another thing slightly elevated Hematocrit and RBC with no symptoms (shortness of breath, increased Blood pressure) is not a reason to go donate blood. I mean People living in high altitude cites tend to have higher then normal RBC, Hematocrit and aren’t running to donate blood and arent at higher risk of clot or stroke. Patients with COPD or other lung diseases usually have high hematocrit RBC and are never told to go donate blood.
Md will likely decrease or stop your dose if Hct to high. If frequent phlebotomy is ordered monitor your ferritin. If ferritin low there will be complications. Iron supplements will resolve this. Eat red meat and liver.
