Time never waits for anyone and if not judicially utilised then it’s always a loss to the individuals.
We were always clear in our minds that during every annual leave, while we were in the UK, it must be utilised for travel only, within the UK and in the adjoining countries. In addition, during most of the weekends, we went for short trips to nearby locations. One can say that we had two homes, one was where we lived and the other was our home on wheels.
The later part influenced us a lot and made a permanent impression on our minds.
India was always our first choice to live for the later part of our life. After a lengthy discussion, we decided to leave the good-paying job and move back to India.
Once settled in our house in Gandhinagar we started our search for the right vehicle with which we could travel very comfortably and also drive us on the most treacherous road conditions. We had to narrow down the list to three cars that were Mahindra Thar, Force Gurkha and ISUZU V Cross. After careful consideration, we decided to go with ISUZU V Cross. When luck is on your side you always get success and similarly we were lucky to get a fully modified Overlanding purposes ISUZU V Cross. With one step achieved the next one was to find a workshop that can build a camper in the truck bed area of the V Cross. Being in Gandhinagar we wanted someone who is around Gandhinagar where we can frequently visit when the work is in progress. We decided to name our vehicle “Golden Eagle” and our social media name is “Falhar Nomads”.
Prior to it, we did a few Overlanding trips to Mount Abu, Kumbhalgarh, Kuno National Park, Sesaipura, Bisalpur Dam and Pushkar. As I had not driven on Indian roads for 20 years it was necessary for me to gain confidence and understand how people drive in India.
Travelling is our passion but with it, we are very much concerned about this beautiful Earth. During our travel we are going to use cleaning essentials that are Earth-friendly and what I mean by that is that the liquids or soap that we are going to use does not pollute/harm the earth. Zero use of plastic bags wherever possible will be practised and to not dirty the beautiful earth by throwing rubbish anywhere but carry the rubbish with us and dump it at designated dumping locations. During these journeys, we are going to challenge ourselves to live a sustainable and eco-friendly life. We are going to use Made In India products that in a way in itself is supporting local manufacturing.
During our recent travel, we have noticed that certain locations had rubbish dumped which we think is not a responsible travelling. It is our humble request to all to start living an eco-friendly life and contribute to making this earth a better place to live for us and the generations to come. So, we have decided that we are going to make every effort to follow the above during our travel and also at home as the saying goes “Charity begins at Home”.

Wonderful work, I'm also planning but after watching your other videos I realised it's very important to have 4WD n Isuzu n other cars are way to expensive, I'm trying to find a budget vehicle, please do suggest If you have some advice...

Thanks a lot for watching our video. My advise to you would be that you go for tested 4 x 4 vehicle. Go for a second hand ISUZU V Cross which may cost you around 12 to 14 Lacs and then you are looking to add further app. 15 Lacs further to create an Overlanding vehicle with a camper on it.

Hello sir, RTO Approval done for the changes? What is the procedure and process to get this RTO approved? So there is no legality issue later when travelling.

Initially I had a meeting with the RTO officers and showed them the diagrams of what I am intending to do. I was suggested few changes which I did in the diagrams. Accordingly the camper was build and approved by the RTO authorities. Changes shown in the RC book. Now regarding issues when travelling I do not see it but if it arises just deal with it on the go. I hope this answers your query.

​@@FalharNomadsHarish Ji when you approached the RTO had you included custom bumpers in the plan? Also is winch allowed? Do we have to get the changes done at a authorised body builder and do we require a letter from the authorised body builder for approval from RTO.

Does the weight permit in RTO. As per my knowledge the permited weight is 200+ KG where as this looks more than that.
