As a mother of a 4yo, I can tell you this little girl is taking her parents for a ride 😂 All the emotions come out when they’re about to or are getting in trouble, then 2 minutes later they’re happily going about the same nonsense that got them in trouble in the first place 🤦🏻♀️

My father is like this When I was a Baby, Whenever I sometimes do something wrong or drop neither break, I would start crying and Go to my mother, instead of comforting me, she would take me to my dad who's always on the couch, watching tv and he would asked what happen and how he can help. It was very nice being a little girl back then, But now yet he still does the same even if I'm upset or sad about something this day.

It's hard to be mad but it's very important to show that you are discontent when your children misbehave. Most parents can't be mad and worse they just let it slip, let it unpunished. When this continue the children will grow into spoiled and ignorant kid. By the time we see that cute face or even cry face we already forgave them but it's important to also educate them as it's part of parenting and it's also for the goods of our children.

you don’t need to be angry to discipline your children tho & actually it’s much better if you’re approaching it from a calm headspace. also when a child is in this heightened emotional state, you’re not going to be able to explain to them why what they did was wrong & have them understand. you both need to be in a calm state first. plus we are seeing only 1 minute out of this interaction. we have no idea what happened before or after.

There’s actually a way to do this without punishment, or well, we don’t call it punishment. It’s called natural consequences. Aka, if you don’t listen and try to run away when I put you down, no you don’t get a choice and you have to be in my arms. If you keep playing with something when I’ve told you not to, now you don’t get to be near it alone. If you make a mess, now you must clean it up. It’s a form of punishment but it’s a little less harsh and it’s more realistic to what adult life is like. (For example, if as an adult you drop a plate now you have to clean it up. You speed, you lose your license. It’s realistic to the real world)
Best part about it, is that you don’t have to yell or get mad. It lets you save that for actual dangerous situations. If you yell too much then your kids won’t listen because their use-to it. For example, if you yell all the time at home then when your out in public if your kid is about to run out into a car they won’t listen because they don’t think it’s a big deal, but if you only yell during emergencies your kid will listen instantly. It also has the plus benefit of when your kids are older they’ll be honest with you because their not worried about you yelling, and then they know if you do yell it’s for your own safety. Kids when they have parents like this tend to grow up to be really respectful to adults, but they also understand they deserve to be treated with respect at the same time.
