    Man you make it looks easy but of course I know you had to learn like lm about too.
    I went out Monday afternoon but it was to hot to focus.
    I’m going to try it next week in the morning this time.
    I have the sv93 and live scope setup.

      Ha ha, you do not see what I edited out. It is still hard sometimes, but one thing you have to remember with Livescope is that each time you change areas, change lakes etc you will probably have to fine tune your picture. The settings I have here are a great starting point, then based on your water clarity you might have to adjust. After a rain, the picture is harder because of the junk in the water so I have to set for that, but during clearer days it is a different setting usually on gain. It just takes a little playing with it. good luck Sir and thanks for watching and commenting.

    Awesome video but I’m confused on connection the iPhone or iPad. I have active captain on all my units but I see no where to get livescope to show up on my phone. Can it be done or did I miss understood you in the video. Thanks

    • @AsleepAtTheReel
      @AsleepAtTheReel  2 роки тому

      Great question. You have to download the Active Captain app from iTunes. As long as you have an echomap unit you will get helm control in the app. I believe you can still use Active Captain without an echomap unit, but you will not have the helm option which gives you the ability to record what you see on the screen. Hope that helps, if not please let me know. Thanks for watching.

    Very helpful video bud. I just got the Livescope 3 weeks ago. I’ve used it for ice fishing but soon it is going to be open water. Instead Of the trolling motor attaching I’ve made a custom mount rig. My buddy has a boat and puts his in the front and I will in the back I’d my boat. Also I subbed, love the intro man!

    • @AsleepAtTheReel
      @AsleepAtTheReel  3 роки тому

      The best prices I have found are at the GPS store. www.thegpsstore.com/Marine-Electronics/Chart-Plotters. I like the Garmin 1022 and 1222. All I use them for is Livescope so I do not need anything else. There are other options if you are going to put side scan and other transducers on them, but I am not the one to talk to about that as I use Humminbird. Hope that helps.

    • @AsleepAtTheReel
      @AsleepAtTheReel  3 роки тому

      I believe in this video I was using the fishing specialties mount. I have a video where I made for for just under $20.00 and I used that for over a year. It was great, but I am really liking the Fishing Specialties pole. I personally prefer to keep it off the trolling motor. My reason for that is whether I am using spot lock or not when making UA-cam videos I want to keep what I am targeting in the picture at all times and I can do this with a pole that is mounted separately. Hope that helps you out. Thank you so much for watching and also commenting. Have a great day!

    Just the video I was looking for. I’m going with the 1022 unit as well. I like the knob and not being a touch screen. My question is what software are you running on your black box and unit? I’ve seen where people say that after the 2.2 update on the black box they experience a ghost tree and blind spot. Just wondering what you are running because I see neither on yours. Thanks again for the great video.

      Hey, first of all thanks for being on the live tonight. I do not know off hand what version I am using, but I have not updated since right before perspective view came out. I hear that all of that is fixed and there is a new setting for the ghost tree, but I have never had one. I hope with my answer and the answers on the live from others we got your question answered. Thanks so much for being on tonight and for the super chat my friend. Hope to see you on next week.

    Just installed live scope mounted on pole, trying to preset gain color pallet but monitor keeps dimming , does transducer have to be in water before monitor stays bright? Voltage is great, I am new to fishing with electronics 😳

    • @AsleepAtTheReel
      @AsleepAtTheReel  3 роки тому +1

      yes Sir. Never run the transducer with out having it in the water. You can power the unit but make sure to turn the transducer off. You can do that by hitting the power button once and scrolling down to "Disable All Sonars". Make the adjustments to the unit while on your boat and that should solve the problem. Thanks for watching and asking your question.

    Thanks for the video. Don't have a livescope yet, still more than I'm willing to fork over. For those of us who don't have livescope, can you show what the cover looks like on down imaging, sidevu, and 2d with active captain? I'm thinking if I can find the structure I will find fish, just may not be able to "see" them like with livescope. I need to figure out how to make what I have (Garmin striker 7sv plus) work for the time being. Thanks for throwing those fish back because I will be on Palestine with Mark Standridge Friday, November 6. If I catch 'em they will be headed back to Louisiana with me in my cooler! Y'all seem to have bigger fish in Texas. I wish Louisiana would put a size limit and lower the creel limit (currently 50 per person). I love Palestine because we only see a few boats every time we go. It is a hidden jewel. But I hope the world we see what kind of crappie we have in Louisiana at the Expo next year since it will be in Shreveport.

      Hey, thanks so much for the comments and you will love Mark. He is a good friend and a good Christian man. Unfortunately I cannot show you what you are asking as I do the side and down imaging on the humminbird. I only use Garmin for livescope. Now if I misread that, please let me know, but is sounds like you are wanting that in Garmin. I just do not have a normal transducer for it. I do love some LA fishing though. I grew up in Lafayette and am looking forward to getting back to the basin to do a little fishing. Good luck out here and I know you will have a blast. I went out to shoot another show this week and let me say they were big an aggressive. Unfortunately I did not put them back! ha ha. Have fun and thanks for watching. Oh if I am wrong on how I read that please clarify, if I can do it I will.

      @@AsleepAtTheReel We've been fishing with Mark several times and always have a great time and catch lots of fish. What I would like to know more about is how to find fish without a livescope. What do you look for/see on 2d, downscan side view that helps you find and catch fish? Don't think Garmin vs. Bird matters a lot, since they should be pretty similar. Livescope is a great tool, but not all of us have one. So I'd like to know more about finding and catching fish without a livescope.

    I'm having trouble keeping track of my minnow, I can see it as soon as I throw in the water till about ten foot, and then it just disappears. I wonder if I'm getting out of the cone angle of the transducer I just don't know

    • @AsleepAtTheReel
      @AsleepAtTheReel  3 роки тому

      You could be. One thing to remember is that your transducer is on the side of a pole. The pointer that you are looking at is going to be off, because the transducer is a inch or so on the side of the transducer pole. Hopefully that makes sense. Basically it will read on the side that you have it. Mine is on the left side of the pole, so everything is an inch or so to the left from my pointer pole (The portion out of the water also known as my handle). That might explain why you loose it sometimes. The other advice is to mess with the color gain, the TVG and the Noise Reduction to fine tune it. When I use braid I can actually see the line in the water. Hope this helps a little.

    • @craigcoble6274
      @craigcoble6274 3 роки тому

      @@AsleepAtTheReel it dose, I have my transducer mounted on the trolling motor shaft which basically when the trolling motor is in the water it is on the right hand side of the trolling motor shaft. But when the trolling motor is in the water with the top of the trolling motor head the Arrow pointing straight forward. I can only see my jig when I'm pitching in front of the boat about two to three foot on the left side of the nose of the boat doesn't that seem odd LOL but it was my very first time using it

      😂😀😀Was just thinking this morning that I have not gotten "Hate Mail" in a long time. 😂😀😀 So an answer to your comment is, We do not think we have to have all of that, people like it. When we don't do it people ask why. Since you like things quick, here are some bullet points for ya:
      1. Your Comment did not bother me, actually think it is kind of funny.
      2. Over 1 million views and you are the first to say this!
      3. There are many others out there to watch, thanks for stopping by, but not going to tailor something for one person!
      4. I make my videos with things I am interested in and have a passion for, so part of the bla bla bla is explaining why I am doing something, how I do it and the result you get.
      5. I have helped a lot of people with their settings, but if you can't get through the bla bla bla and my great intro 😂 then find someone else that knows livescope as well as many of us UA-camrs and hopefully they will explain it for you!
      6. Lastly have a good day and I pray that your day gets better!
