I have been in this church music thingy for some time now and there is something I know; musicians will go,musicians will come. Things to note ;
1. Don’t tie your musicianship to anybody.
2. Don’t loose your relationship with any outgoing musician ‘cos you guys might still meet somewhere in the future.
3. Don’t loose your professionalism ‘cos you play for a church.
4. Create a platform outside the church for yourself.
5. Become a brand in and outside the church.

I think because they have different roles in a band, the main keyboardist is not more important than the aux keyboardist. They have their importance in the music for it to be of decent quality. An aux keyboardist is not any less important than a main keyboardist

Apart from all these orthodox churches like Catholics, Methodists, Baptists,Anglicans and likes in all the big pentecostal churches here in Lagos, Pastors and church administrations/management doing their musicians well are not up to 20 in numbers. You can do a personal discovery or investigation yourself to know that 🙂
