It is not easy to love and pray for our enemies, but learning to do it and praying to God for His help certainly does it's miracle. God help us all on this journey. Thank you very much!❤❤❤
There are so many Christians that say it is OK for us to judge. They say that Jesus never told us to not judge others. Personally, I don’t like to judge, although I find myself doing it anyway and then I will catch myself.
I won’t only judge, I will instantly evaluate their motivation and condemn, within seconds, seconds! A grown man wearing a dress walks into the women’s change room at the gym, no brainer for me. It’s really hard not to judge, but if you can recognise this inclination, you’re half way there.
I agree. Also wonder what Swedenborg would do with Romans 10:9. I know there is a deeper meaning but I’m in the Deep South. It’s a hang up for evangelicals
If someone is breaking into my home and they are armed and intend to do harm to me and my family, I do have a right to defend myself. Jesus told this to Reverend Storm - that we have the right to defend ourselves I mean.
For Curtis. It has been shown to me that life here is like ovum that clings to the womb. It is filled with knowledge of Heaven and grows. Other cells flought past that did not open to the knowledge and di not adhere. They flow away. There are those that adhere but stay enclosed within God and they are those that are happy within themselves. There is one to come who will grow and fill the whole womb and everything within will be absorbed by the one. The pregnancy has begun and the growth pains are evident. Those that accept the union and those that reject it.
Thank you very much for this! BTW for me love means, to support freedom in other people, but not always also their decisiond and deeds. This can be very hard if you got, for example, a good old friend having an addiction problem, but, by this idea of love, you can't press him to act like you think would be the best for him. I'm in that situation and often had to bite my tongue and not letting go of my anger about this crap (trying to keep Jesus as my compass, so to say). Nevertheless, doing this is not easy at all.
No it is not easy Alberad. Yes it is painful to watch a loved one be trapped by addiction. Perhaps you have seen our video about addiction? ua-cam.com/users/livelMxdZiguxlI
Would an ability to recognize harmful patterns towards ppl in society - and seeing that they are repeated non stop, thus, most likely done intentionally - be an indication that I m looking for what's bad in my 'neighbour' ( on an organizational/national level ) ? Edit : My intention "This is not good for society, I wish no harm or torture towards these ppl, doing this, we just need to stop this thing" ( as you said in the clip )
Recognizing those harmful patterns is the way we can choose differently, Spiritov. But it is different than making judgments about other people for the purpose of making them wrong.
I try to pretend that those I’m in a rage with are an animal, for instance a lost dog who’s scared and angry and lashing out - suddenly, the poignancy of understanding and forgiveness is feasible. It’s a way for me to practise these concepts. I don’t recommend living in a Pixar fantasy, it’s just a switcheroo that allows me to at least contemplate a different perspective. Maybe we humans appear as fluffy little cute kittens that can do no wrong in gods eyes, even when we’re hunting the prettiest song bird. By the way, do we know if Swedenborg engaged in shrooms from time to time?
He did not use mushrooms, Nina, but he was given incredible experiences by having his eyes opened. I like your suggestion to plunk yourself in a Pixar movie. It can change our perspective, and that can be really helpful. Fairy tales and movies can do that for us.
I do think the more you become good the more you can distinguish better between good and evil intention, but to fully judge a person never, that's only God. The heart is too deep. We don't even know why a person became the way it did. Distinguishing good and evil in oneself is enough of a job. I would say Jesus feels compassion for man trapped in the hellish, he says pray for them, as good has no real rival, it's God who decided to destroy the temple and rebuilt it in 3 days, evil has no power over good whatsoever, ultimately a good person has nothing to fear. It's sad for the people who choose the other route
Yes it is a full time job for me as well, Alex, to reflect on and change my own failings. And yes, I think deeper wisdom comes as we choose goodness over and over. Our perspective goes wider, and deeper and we can find more good as we practice doing it.
My Sunday Sermon! Thank you OTLE. More assignments to practice on❤
Such a pleasant way to begin my afternoon!
Much Love, Y'all 🙏🏻💕
Glad to have you with us CarolinaGal!

It is not easy, you are right Chinonye. But that does not take away from how important it is.
@offTheLeftEye So true, it's importance cannot be over emphasized. Thank you!
Wow! I think I found some actual Christians who won’t blindside me and have me feeling a certain way. Thanks guys
We welcome you to this channel flip!
Only the Lord knows anyone's inner depths
Absolutely true Jon.
Thank you 🙏
You are most welcome, Preliminal.

That’s a lifestyle choice that flies in the face of commen sense biology. I agree. But on an individual basis…I try hard. It is very difficult!
Seeing it is absolutely the first step, Joe, Then we can decide we do not want to stay that way and ask God for help in changing.
Yes recognizing our knee jerk reactions is a very good start Nina.
It is difficult, Joe as you say. And yet it is the path to freedom to stop judging.
❤
Here, as in Heaven, God's will be done, and seen by all.
As in heaven, yes Mark.

Yes, a powerful statement from someone who witnessed hatred, spg.

If you have a cloak sell it and get a sword- Agreed.
May you and your family keep safe, Joe.

Thank you for this comparison Mark. Yes we are being made new.

Yes, the intention is everything - once again

Good choice, Michael!
