Yes. Will take time to learn not being trapped by monsters, especially early game when your character is slow and has no défensive options. Got killed quite a few times by monsters spawning left and right in tight corridors, died, screamed at ggg but overall I like the idea of engaging even white mob packs very carefully
I’m really happy too. I never had much problem with getting stuck as I always knew to kite and engage properly. I kind of agree with it. It's fine that getting trapped is a thing that can happen, but right now they will usually just push you into a corner and you can't even roll between them before it gets bad. Definitely felt like the hitbox was too wide for a dodge roll playstyle to feel good.

Regals were a problem for me during act 2 and 3 but have been somewhat rectified with late act 3 and cruel because I have been getting more rares to disenchant and also you only need one regal to craft an item ... you need multiple exalts though. I expect this to also increase exalts in mapping but not much in campaign which is probably OK since it would be bad if people went back to the campaign at endgame to farm exalts.
What are you on about only needing 1 regal? You need 1 regal for every base. If that base doesn't hit a good 3rd mod. You need a new base and another regal. .on average youre going to need 5+ to make a usable item worth using an exalt on.

i havnt been able to upgrade my monk staff for over 3 hours cause im getting jack shit drops and bad rng with vendors
Does anyone know if we buy guild stashes, will they be available after EA ends? They said the characters won't survive out of EA, not sure if the guilds will either.
Chars will survive but they will get sorted into standard (or EA realm). So when you league start when game is out of EA, you still have your character just not for the league
holy shit that was fast
10cm gap to dodge roll? 10cm for the character model? i dont understand this scale. i am sure i have dodged between mobs with at most 3cm between them
10cm in the game engine lol
@@aryman6589 and a character is how tall on that scale?
@@NeinDao Because it's isometric view, character height is a bit weird (and varies by class), but 10cm in game engine is TINY. Smaller than the space your character's feet take up on the ground, even if you're a Ranger.
@@thornburg9170 ok, then i dont think i will notice the difference xD i only got body blocked 2 times so far. first time i learned to try and avoid it and second time was an event that spawned a shit ton of mobs on me xD
Blood mage needs attention first ascendancy you can’t even use and your forced to take the life steal ascendancy second in order to make it viable so basically you don’t have the power other classes have until you can complete trial of chaos and even then you are way behind damage wise, the remnants are not worth the life costs of any of the useful spells you can kill yourself in 4 casts lol
Big w patch
I just don’t want to go back to drop slop from POE1
Sure, but if the alternative is to play ruthless I'll go do that. Or rather, I won't play at all.
Imagine liking that the game drops nothing at all 85% of the time. Still having sub 20% total resistance after 2 hours is great game design.
Only 2 hours 🤣 go play poe1 noobs@@brawndothirstmutilator5863
so you don't want to get rewarded for your struggles? ok then
They need to like 10k multiply loot to get even close to that
TY
still waiting for them to change that you are blocking ur mates when playing together just anying when it happends. It dosnt make the game harder since you just roll and then its done but it leads to you getting stuck alot more and then dying because you cant move a dircection and then die before you realise its ur teammate that is blocking you and you are blocking him.
lol i love all these people "This thing X doesn't make the game harder, but I die a lot to it"
@@Qneoneone Worst thing about popularity is the influx of absolute shit players like you and your juvenile demands.
Damn loot buffs that early xD I’m a bit suprised
I'm generally of the opinion I'd rather they wait longer - sometimes loot is already high but gated behind complexity players haven't solved yet, like POE1 Affliction or ESPECIALLY the POE1 Settlers incarnation of recombination. The act bosses change was needed though, as they take considerable time to beat.
@ Yes I agree.
Also clearing the campaign doesn’t need decent gear.
My friend made it almost through act 3 with basic attack and leap slam xD I helped him after that.
But the other changes are great.
Getting pushed through a entire zone from 1 single monster just feels wrong 😂
@@tinecchi3648 too many people crying about it.
Bigly
Too much loot I need a filter now :(
First! Thanks for your great Content SirGog, do you have Patreon? I'd like to support you more!
Thanks mate! I missed out on getting into Patreon's legacy rates and without those they aren't really any better than UA-cam's channel memberships. The best way to send tips is the streamelements tipping link at the very end of my video descriptions, it incurs pretty low fees compared to other options.
GGG ran this test already with Ruthless League. I didn't think the results were so overwhelming that they would develope their second game in the mold of it. Alas here we are. To he fair I AM javing fun. Just so much work to be done still.
I didn't see my first unique/rare i could use until ACT 3.
Then i woke up.
I got some unique helmet with lesser movement speed and a bunch of resists in act 1...it looks good but its like level 15, so crap and i wont use it for leveling because i like movement speed XD
But to be fair, i got few lucky rare drops and gambles with Finn, so i have 3 items with 10% drop rarity on me...so it could be that.. I am curious do they have Ventors gamble in poe2.
Idk how this was not fast enough, so many people bitching.
I will miss the dreadknot gauntlet, i thought it was cool.
I really hope they nerf some of the encounters too. The worst offenders I can think of are Chimera and the Brook Riding boss just being untargetable most of the time, and especially the triaps bosses. That stupid Ultimatum bird is actually insane.
From what i've seen it's just PoE+Souls "like". I probably won't play PoE2 at all. Mainly due to the fact that games like this game require so much grinding it's hard to play any other game. If the entire focus is just on bosses with new mechanics and even worse end-game loot it's a 100% flop for me. It looks amazing, but there's no way ill pick up PoE2 After watching Streamers and seeing just how little loot drops.
@charlespanache7047 it doesn't really require that much grinding. There are a few bosses that areoverturned, but you can steamroll early game if you know what you are doing. They are also buffing drop rates on most things.
To all those "difficulty is king" players, difficulty types are not made equal and other people suffering doesn't make you a better player.
100% this.
You're right it makes you a better more resilient person.
@@brandonwalker5011 true to extent just like everything in life. If you need to dodge once per fight, it's trivial skill/dexterity check. If you need to dodge 100 times, then maybe it's above and beyond what a mainstream game should be at the start
@@brandonwalker5011I'm sorry friend, but nothing about playing a video game makes you a more resilient person. 😂
they really need to fix leech
Nice

I hope GGG adds more functionality with runes. I think adding a lesser version of runewords or enhanced runes could be super cool and add some more agency to players.
I TOLD people the loot was beyond fucked in this game, all these white knight yes men just trying to say everything is peachy fuckin keen when very clearly it was not lol. It literally made everything else worse because of it, bad drops = bad crafting = bad character progression = everything is over tuned = bad game play loop = people dont want to play.
Let's see how well this buff works before we pop the champagne yet though. I don't think it will be enough, not even close. The current rates are so bad I feel we'll need a lot buffs to come
i feel the same, i just literally went and played poe1 yesterday after 2 days of poe2. Just couldnt have fun, it just doesnt feel like my character had any progression. No power fantasy = no fun i guess
its already live
@@AintNoJustice The people that were saying this, well, it's quite obvious what community they are from."GO BACK TO POE1 YOU BRAINDEAD ANDYS, POE2 IS A DIFFERENT GAME" ... PoE2 reddit and discord, remind me EXACTLY of the Diablo 4 reddit. How do I know this? You can present a simple critique such as: loot is scarcely dropping, as is currency, they need to get buffed. "NOOOOOO, the game is perfect, don't change it, CRAFT YOUR WAY ALL THE WAY UP FROM WHITE ITEMS". "PoE2 is completely perfect, don't ever change it, the difficulty is perfect, GIT GUD". It's literal childish Call of Duty speak.
This is how you know the arguments aren't sincere, it isn't even accurate, it's about having the OPPOSITE opinion than yourself. They learned this discourse from being Diablo 4 defenders. It's really sad, because I still play D4 with my high school buddies and carry them once every league to duriel etc, but this "tourist" type of mentality is really bad, because these types of people are playing the game as if this were a "single player" game like elden ring, when PoE is a game that's structured around longevity and growth, around leagues.
I thought I was taking crazy pills I'm like, holy shit, I can't be THIS unlucky, until I beat the dreadnought boss and got, TWO HUNDRED GOLD. Something that difficult should not give you that result. And think that's where basically everything lies, people are mistaking "difficulty" with "tediousness". The honeymoon phase will end very quickly due to the extremely long zones with waypoints seemingly, only at the end of the zones? All the monsters respawning when you die so you have to do the zone, over again? That's just pure suffering, and unfun.
Anyways, long post over. Best of luck exiles!
since there are people playing poe1 ruthless, some people enjoy slower progression. just because they didn't need update on these point means they were being fool, or hiding their issues with the game.
@@GelawByscarthis is the internet, some people just want to be right. I made an effort to spend significantly less time on social media these past months to realise the amount of baseless, pointless discussion going on these platforms.
Dodge rolling can work IF your maps are open, but every damn zone is a narrow corridor! I cannot express how absolutely infuriating the Dreadnought was in Act 2. Leaping enemies that corner you on a narrow bridge?? Unacceptable!
10cm???....maybe 10mm
What the game really needs is a crafting bench. I think we really miss a means for deterministic crafting, and to allow us to choose one affix this way would not ruin GGG’s vision too much, I think.
That's what runes are for
I’m shocked they didn’t foresee this tbh, I’m guessing they are panicking after people realised it was just ruthless reskinned
Quit on day 2. Just slow and not fun.
Dodge roll is awful regardless. If I wanted to play dark souls, then I would.
Almost feels like they had this update locked and ready to go before the game launched. Seems like an easy first update to have ready.
lol getting trapped when surrounded sounds like a skill issue, don’t get yourself in that spot. Ruthless was already like that. At least they didn’t completely cave in and make it so you can just phase through them with dodge roll.
Ridiculous they are buffing drop rates already…RIP having loot matter.
Crawling towards a playable state about as sluggishly as player characters feel.
Games not far off perfect...it's not the type of game for you so move on
Ggg add sort button to player inv and stash tab
How the fuck is that supposed to work?
Too little, too late. I already moved on.
Goodbye
I have huge issue with GGG deploying massive changes 3 days into EA. Small tweaks to campaign drops sure, but stuff like x5 times gcp drops is weird. How many people are even in the endgame right now? Who gave this feedback? High profile poe1 streamers who want shit to just like poe1? Quick reaction to big outliers is fine, but let major game impacting changes simmer a bit. Not everyone is beating acts in 10 hours.
No one is, what a horrible take, I am in endgame but even I understand the gcp change as the power in gcps alone is mid as fuck since supports dont even get quality
@@soso7o7 Well i'm not in the endgame and niether is 99% of people playing right now. And even people who have reached end game are barely getting their bearings. PoE is not a game anyone can figure out in 3 days. So giving poeple x25 access to something based on first impressions of a few people who rushed there is not appropriete in my oppinion.
@@tumbleryumbler8211 rushed there? Wtf r u talking about 😂😂, i did the acts just like everyone else if I dont wanna smell the roses and I wanna play then im gonna get farther, you not being in endgame and me being in endgame just goes to show how much less experience you already have with the game, please take the time to play the game and use gcp and come back, also the people changing the game are THE DEVS OF THE GAME no high profile streamer is saying “we need more gcp” exclusively, the change is almost redundant its crazy thats even an issue for you
@@soso7o7 You realise that for most people 25-30 hours of gameplay is like 5-7 days. Its not my fault I neded to work a 12 hour shift during the launch weekend. I don't want GGG to make sweeping changes before most people even got to experience the game.
@@tumbleryumbler8211 on every league start the mechanic always has to be fixed and tweaked, and I’m often happy I’m slow through the campaign and other people find the problems and imbalances for me. I don’t understand what changes they made are bad for your experience? Getting trapped by mob swarms, not having enough currency to craft? Surely you got used to poe1 league changes days into every launch.
nerf boss hard time
Ggg magicking a bunch of ipad kids back to normal dopamine levels lmao. Actual masters
Was playing yesterday while listening to Asmongolds stream and he talked how they need to do this exact things, they probably listen to what he says.
I was chuckling a bit, while shepparding groups to one place and spamming ice nova, because he talked about being trapped by monsters and i was thinking how this is kinda dumb because you just have to have right tool for the job in your skills arsenal.
Oh well...
lol that guy couldn't even get through the campaign on his own.
Oh wow 1 good ability game must be perfect.
I don't think Asmon "don't care if they get genocided" Gold has that much sway over PoE's balance.
@@blackomega34 wow combining things that dont go together. You probably follow some special ed influencers to have that opinion.
