Not a chance these days I found a decent mechanic that does it all for me I always bung him a bit extra for the time it takes to piss about changing something that used to be a half hour job, takes 2 hrs to get to the pissing thing keep struggling love to all❤

The flat plate inside the solenoid has welded itself to the contacts but with starter motors now you can't remove the cover and clean all the arking/burning off it, some of the early 2000 MG Rovers had a starter solenoid on them with a removable end cap so you could clean the live contacts and the plate that makes the connection.
Buy a long drill bit Chris and do what I do and drill a bloody hole through every panel to get to the screws, stuff taking hundreds of panels to get to two bloody screws.
My Mercedes kept cutting out on me I swapped some relays around and that fixed it permanently. After several diagnostic visits and £100's I fixed it myself! 😅 That's exactly what mine used to do cut out mostly within a mile of starting and would start straight up again. If you were quick you could restart whilst still rolling.
You make me laugh Chris. You will mess about with little fiddly fork lifts and pressure washers happily. But as soon as you get near a van you lose your mind. I think it’s in your head, but it makes for good watching. Keep up the struggle! 😂
have been doing the head gasket on a volvo xc70 for the mother in law at the weekends (im a diyer so not being paid), have had a few rants likes this!!! seems the designers are against those that have to fix them. had to take so much crap of (mainly awd) just to get to one nut on the turbo!!!

I have listened to fitter Matt before he has own UA-cam channel to he's a good lad. Last ignition i did was audi a right pain in hoop. A Big 🔨 that Will sort it😂😂. Bloody good show Chris 👍👍
Take the black circle sensor round the barrel place it on the side and put the old coded key through it my freinds van does that he uses 2 keys for his van top bodge
problem is these vans are designed for dealers to work on that just look up the job time and charge that amount, so they dont care if its a £1000 to get to one tiny part.
Mate, i have days where i spend hours and hours trying to work things out and it eventually turns out the job should have taken about 15 minutes tops !!!!!
Can you pull the steering wheel adjust lever and extend the steering towards you Chris? I commented as you was shouting and carrying on lol. Didn’t fix it then Chris ffs.

In Scottie’s yard they need a regime of jet washing the vehicles regularly, the amount of times you work on them and their full of crap 😮😮
