To be honest, I don't see any reason to complain about the magnets, you can easily remove them, pose the figure and then attach the accessories later... I think it's a good addition for the figure.
Having it in hand, mine are pretty attractive and lock in enough I can still pose it around. But I do enjoy just popping them on and off as you say for the sheer joy of magnets.
You are right, this figure isn’t perfect. But I think the coolest thing about McFarlane making this a kickstarter as opposed to a regular retail release is he can experiment with new engineering techniques where he can get direct actionable feedback about what works. And we’ve seen him implement new engineering from his first kickstarter Spawn into his retail figs (I.e ankle balls becoming more seamlessly sculpted replacing those ugly ball joints). Even if some of the choices made don’t quite work, or may seem unnecessary I still think it’s dope to see McFarlane swing for the fences & continue to bridge the gap between import & domestic retail figures.
Actually it's better getting them after the holiday..this season is worsed when it comes to mail theft, porch pirating and package coming in damaged due to courier service getting overwhelmed.
dude storm and jada and hottoys and so many other brands are charging 150-400 bucks for collectibles that come no where near this ! in quality and in details and in packaging and everything else . Y'all truly know how to complain cry and make something out of nothing , this is an absolutely amazing figure for 80 bucks ! .
Thank you for first review I've seen on this figure! I received mine very quickly too but have not opened it yet. From the looks of this looks better than his first semi Kickstarter Mcfarlane did! Now can't wait to open an display him!
Mine should be getting shipped out soon as i got the email for it today, but I only ordered the blue version. Last time, I got the three pack, but I couldn't afford that this time.
It looks pretty cool, I’m glad I backed this but I definitely had some remorse when he was talking about the accessories being tiers. I just imagined tier stuff would’ve been crazy accessories like a decapitated violator head, a horse, or armor for one of his horse figures he’s released up until now. Appreciate the review! It’s got me a bit more hyped for my order.
I'm excited. I backed it but didn't have the funds once it was ready. Then weeks later I get an email asking me if I still wanted to pay it off. And I did. So I'm sure I'll be one of the last people to get it but hey I'll be getting it
I got the three pack. I’m most bummed about the “comic” just bring an art book, rather than a standard issue. I wanted to get one graded, but now I’m not even sure if it’s worth it?
I genuinely feel the weapons were initially intended to be with figures. Then Todd realized he had no tiers and took that. It was too confusing at the start, and I feel he took advantage of that. Which personally idc. I would’ve backed regardless, just wish there was more clarity.
Thank you for reviewing this. I’ll be waiting a little for mine because I’m getting a black variant but I was so curious to see what the hype is about.
My gosh, you just can't let go the fact that you didn't understand how the tiers worked. If you cry so much about the price then you shouldn't have bought it. This is not a review, it's only a complaint video.
@@Hdhakdhdj sounds like your the one crying 😂 sorry I didn’t give you the answer you wanted to hear but hey there is plenty of other videos out there so maybe go watch someone else ? and if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t have gave it a good rating so maybe watch the whole thing before you talk next time 👍
Because they’re ugly and not realistic. When you move your leg, it doesn’t move like thigh cuts. It moves like McFarlane makes joints. Not only do they look better, but function realistically.
@@BoogSReviews These are action figures, not a medical anatomy model. I want to be able to pose them as I please. Now, of all the joints and cuts in their figures, thigh swivels will make them look ugly and unnatural? Ha! Have you seen their diaper method? does that look natural to you? not to mention they still use pins where everyone pretty much moved to pinless... btw, there are many ways to hide the thigh movement without breaking the sculpt. Even lousy super7 figured it out.
Looking at the finishing of the accessories of this figure, and standard release figures. You can really tell they don't care about standard client. Dicast, metal, magnets costs money. But Sculpt finishing, detail, is all in design, and most of Mcfarlane figures look like unfinished product. Because they don't care.
It seems like it’s worth the money. It’s the price of a Mezco (after shipping) and has as many accessories and as much details. But Mezco would’ve had a little more articulation and cloth goods that allow for more mobility. But it still looks solid enough and your rating is fair.
I'm glad you got it already I'm still waiting for mines . Great review keep it up. I said to myself if this figure feels cheap and doesn't live to my standards as a collector and $85 bucks this was going to be my last kickstarter . Because 1 I don't do kickstarter Mcfarlane doesn't need kickstarters he use to release badass spawn figures back like 20 years ago.
I thought it was closer to $60 with $20+ on shipping and handling. Which is kinda absurd. Especially since they are being shipped to a warehouse in cali then shipped out. I’d understand the high price point for S&H if we were getting it straight from the factories in china. Which makes it hard not feel like that extra price is really for the figure.

Mcfarlane announced that there would be tiers from day one. People assumed you’d get everything. There’s videos proving it.

McFarlane should do loaded full-paint app KS versions of Viking Spawn, Mandarin Spawn and Samurai Spawn...that would be amazing

Great vid. I'm new to the channel. Love spawn.
I cxld my order due to them not adding a cloth cape.
I don't like how the arms can't go by his side. One of the arms came off when I tried to bring the arm down.
For that amount of money I wish he would’ve given us a whole new style of articulation completely different than what he has with his current style

Your complaints are mostly 1st world especially the box.😂😂😂 this box was like shown before even on the 1st kickstarter, you should know that by now..
Could the heads fit on other Spawn figures?

This looks amazing and great for the price
So excited for mine, but it's going to be a bit. I got a 3 pack but worth the wait
this looks more promising than his previous classic spawn kickstarter
You don't need thigh rotation or rotation at the calv it really just ruins the aesthetic of a figure and the human body doesn't move like that
I have no idea what kind of mutant you are, but the human body actually has a much larger range of motion than this figure allows
I'm glad is heavy and he use better quality plastic. And great paint job
Is the plastic more rigid or softer more pliable more than thier usual figures?
It feels about the same at least pliability wise.

Was it $85 with shipping or $85 plus shipping?
With shipping
Dissappointing articulation.
Todd showed in a preview video that he will have thigh swivels. Why does Mcfarlane Toys hate thigh cuts/swivels? why?
