Was Apollo running the show back then? Qbert and MMM seem to be adding flavor to Apollo's leadership? Of course with hindsight, Qbert and MMM went to stardom. Appreciate your opinion. Helluva show....
@@kutupmusictv hey djsk, great to hear from you, glad you got me to watch this again, it was a year ago I commented, this mix is still fresh as it gets. I'm all good with the mechanics of who is doing what and how, esp with a video to see all those inventive moves, I was just curious who was doing what, and pushing the art behind the scenes (like who chose and orchestrated that transition from RUN DMC to Fat Boys?). I've heard Q and MMM give props to Apollo in interviews, but Q and MMM went on to well paid mega-careers. Maybe Apollo was the orchestrator in 1992? Even to this day, Xmen (love 'em) are MILKING it...but these guys MADE it.
It's saying "the big drum beater." They just freaked it to say what they want. The record they're using is "Toasted Marshmallow Feet Breaks" or "Battle Breaks," on the Toad style battle records label. Can't remember specifically but it's definitely one of those two.
Still one of the best triple mixing dj set in history, still, after 30 years 💥🏋️♂️
this is one of the best performance of DMC history
Like# 701 in 2023 we love y'all still and forever

mike is half filipino I went to school with him
Being in the USA and copying Black Americans is where they got the flavor tho…… Zero to do with the Philippines. Respectfully.
@@eddycarpenter8989 im filipino and totally agree with this
